Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12885 comments It really is terrible, and I really, really wish I could say it's the worst book I've read so far this year, but I'd be lying! lol.

I can finish it today, or drag out so it's in the second week total instead. What do people think would be better?

If you can finish it for week 1, please go ahead!
A few extra points for this week won't hurt, and it's nice to have a bit of a head start on the points hehe.

As much as I wanted to just finish it today... no.. I can't. I need to take a break after I just finished today's DQ section. I'll move on to my other romance freebie thingy that I'm sneak-reading at work and will leave the rest of the BOM for tomorrow.

Today's section just made me angry. Stupid characters.

I'm so jealous of those who have been able to just read it through. I find it so bad atm that I get through a few chapters and need a break. At least I can find the funny side by looking at all the comments in the discussion thread!!!

Ooookay, do you think you could find an O maybe?

If all works well, and we finish all our outstanding books, then we have 5 completed words. If we're going to start word #6, might as well go for the difficult letter ;-)

Besides, it'd be back up just in case something comes up and I don't manage to finish my book.

I know... right?!!
tbh, for a book written 24 years ago about the 2050s I thought it had stood the test of time pretty well. A little funny that they are still using discs and talk about making tapes (video tapes), but that is the problem with setting things in the future, isn't it?!
I really liked Eve, and I thought the insta-love with her and Roarke was believable. Plus I didn't guess the mystery so lots of ticks. I will continue on, hopefully it won't take me 6 years to get to book 2. haha

GR obviously didn't like the book either. I'd finished, tagged and reviewed it and everything, but it refused to show up anywhere. So I did it all again, and it must have decided to finally allow the other one while I was sleeping, lol.

That really does speak for the series though. Getting that far without realising it... At least it means that it doesn't start sucking majorly somewhere down the line.
