jaxnsmom | 8341 comments I've set up a poll to vote for the date of the October Toppler. It'll run through Monday the 8th.

Sarah | 18550 comments I'm easy on the dates really, I've voted for the last one though as it covers my birthday and I think it would be nice to spend my birthday reading (crazily).

Janice (jamasc) | 59954 comments By the way, Oct 13 is the Canadian Thanksgiving. I, for one, will be away that whole weekend.

message 5: by Dawn (new)

Dawn (caveatlector) | 1792 comments Hmmm, Thanksgiving. Can't wait! :)

Going for the last one to avoid any holiday commitment clashes.

Ava Catherine | 4258 comments Haha! Sounds like an octopus that topples books! LOL!

message 10: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) | 3370 comments Do I smell a theme coming? Read eight books at once for the October toppler?

message 11: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments Or tongue twisters? October Toppler is very hard to say! Especially if you try it quickly.

message 12: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) | 3370 comments :)

message 13: by Camilla (new)

Camilla | 2104 comments Will this be a team toppler again? Can't wait!

message 18: by Mariab (new)

Mariab | 3059 comments I hope, I can join the Toppler this time!!
(I was very disappointed, I couldn't take part in the last one!!! :[ ...)

message 19: by Tasha (new)

Tasha I'm thinking about joining in this time around. Not sure I can read more than a book or two though.

message 20: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) | 3370 comments Yeah.....I'm pretty sure I've said that every time I've joined in on a team toppler. It never works out that way though lol!

I hope you can join us, T. :)

message 21: by Debra (new)

Debra (debra_t) | 6542 comments No matter how many books you read, just remember you are helping your team towards its goal. If you can only read 1 book, you are still being a BIG help.

message 22: by Tasha (new)

Tasha True, but it feels so slacking! hahaha

But it's hard to resist ;)

message 23: by Camilla (new)

Camilla | 2104 comments I know I will not be able to read more than one or max two books during the week, as I'm now working full-time. But I will definitely participate! Luckily, any of the weeks will work for me this time.

message 26: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) | 3370 comments Carolyn, it wouldn't hurt! (I actually did this for the last one lol.)

message 29: by Lynn (last edited Sep 06, 2014 07:03AM) (new)

Lynn | 2974 comments Well if it's the first week of dates I have a wedding at the weekend but then the rest of the week I'm off work! Reading, reading and more reading :D

Edit - I just checked the poll, looks like that's not gonna happen though .... boooooo!

Hhhhmm maybe I should book two weeks off! lol

message 30: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments If it ends up being that last week, I am only working 2 half-days that week so I should be able to read more this time round.

message 31: by Pragya (new)

Pragya (reviewingshelf) | 4035 comments Uh oh, the third week is not good for me, reading wise. Biggest festival on the 19th. :/

message 32: by Elsbeth (new)

Elsbeth (elsbethgm) | 1152 comments I just asked this 3rd week of from work, because its autumn-holiday for the kids. Maybe I'll have to send them over to grandpa and grandma so I can read...;)!

I really loved my first toppler (the week-long in june; missed the one in august, because of my holidays), so I'm really looking forward to this one!

message 33: by Carolyn (new)

Carolyn | 131 comments How do I join a team? I'm looking forward to reading some of the books in my TBR pile, at last count there were over 100 books there and yet I still buy more!

message 35: by Rusalka, Moderator (new)

Rusalka (rusalkii) | 19206 comments When we decide on a date, Jmom will give us more details as well as a place to sign up and then she will allocate us to teams.

message 36: by Janice, Moderator (last edited Sep 06, 2014 08:38PM) (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59954 comments jaxnsmom will post the details closer to the toppler. In the past, she's had us indicate if we want to participate. She then assigns us to teams, and then gives us the criteria. She always allows enough time for us to "gopher" (scour our tbr piles) for the books that fit the theme and the tasks.

Don't worry because we'll keep you filled in with everything, and help you figure it all out. We have a lot of fun.
