I enjoy writing book reviews on Goodreads, Instagram, and my blog.
257. What do you like to incorporate into your book reviews, and why? Do you have a specific formula for them? Or do you keep it short and simple?

259. What is your comfort reading? (These are books that make you feel cozy, lift your mood, and bring you joy. You can list a genre, specific books, or aspects of a book.)
For me comfort reading consists of a variety of things; one, of which, is re-reading favorites, like The Hobbit and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, for example.
I also really enjoy reading classics, especially during the Fall and Winter. I love revisiting some of my favorite classics, but I also enjoy discovering new favorites. I typically read bigger books during the colder months, especially fantasy books. I love getting lost in the pages of a book while sitting near a crackling fire and sipping on a hot cup of tea. I enjoy stories that feature a slower, more simple way of life, like Pride and Prejudice or Jane Eyre.
Aspects of a book that brings about the sense of comfort to me are books with rich descriptions that immerse me in the story. I really enjoy descriptions of books, libraries, food, coffee/tea, just a cozy atmosphere in general. I'm currently obsessed with the aspect of coziness and I want to stories that leave me with a cozy feeling; I'm particularly gravitating towards books about nature and cozy cabins in the woods. I also love beautiful writing, great characters, and an interesting plot.
I love books that make me re-read phrases, underline my favorite parts, and leave me missing the story long after I close the book. I love to leave my mark on a book. I annotate my personal books to document my reading experience and make the book uniquely my own.

Another weird book is He Started It by Samantha Downing. That one was a good weird, though.

.
- Uprooted by Naomi Novik
- Enemy Mine by Barry B. Longyear
I could add many more, but I am trying to be realistic as to what I could actually finish.

Weirdest Book
House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski
Weird story. Through the whole book, I kept thinking "what?".
Weird formatting. The story was written in the margins, footnotes, upside down, five words to one page, etc. It was all over the place.

I still need to read Uprooted. It seems to be a perfect pick for the Fall.

Edit: Because of the formatting, I would not try to read a kindle edition.

I read Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik and loved it. So I have high hopes for Uprooted.

I think a lot of people are anticipating this release. I still need to read the first one.

I can't wait for this one. I'm excited to see what the Netflix adaptation will be like.

I don't have any other than The Burning God by R.F. Kuang, but I'm not dying to read it.

- Dracula
- Ebenezer Scrooge
- Pippi Longstocking
- Oliver Twist
- Darby O'Gill

267. What book do you plan on reading, before the end of the year, that you think will be a new favorite?

I want to read Greenlights too.
268. If you set a yearly reading goal have you met it yet? Are you behind? On track? How many books do you have left to reach your goal? How many books have you read so far this year? What was your reading goal for this year?

Edit: Maybe my Popsugar Challenge could count as a reading goal. I completed the regular part of the challenge and have one book left on the advanced part.
Debra wrote: "No yearly reading goal for me. I have read 120 books so far this year.

Oh wow! That's amazing. I have never read 100 books in a year, but I would really love to. That's an overall goal of mine. I honestly have no idea how people manage it.

I am retired. It makes a big difference.

Autumn spooky witchy settings
Beach breeze warm settings

I have read 46 out of 52 books for my challenge. I’m one book ahead of schedule.

Big Lies in a Small Town by Diane Chamberlain. There's so much to that book, and the premise is really interesting.
This Tender Land by William Kent Krueger

My goal was 80 books, but I lowered it to 55. I only have one more book to read to meet that goal.

Yes, Dracula by Bram Stoker. I have already read this 3 times and am looking forward to a fourth read.
