Krystyna (adoseofcozy) | 889 comments I like to put out Halloween decor and start watching my favorite Halloween movies.

Elizabeth (estewart399_lcpl) | 601 comments LCPL wrote: "QOTD: How many books did you read in September? What was your favorite and least favorite?"

I think I read 3. Caraval, Legendary, and Finale. I think I enjoyed Caraval the first because it was like the introduction to the whole series so it felt very magical and full of emotion. My least favorite was Finale, I felt like Scarlett and Tella as characters kind of took a back step, and the romantic drama between all of them was just too trivial for me.

I had the same experience with the Caraval Series.

QOTD: Which fall drink are you craving most: pumpkin spice, apple cider, or hot chocolate?

message 4305: by Krystyna (new)

Krystyna (adoseofcozy) | 889 comments All of these sound good. I'm between apple cider and hot chocolate. I'd probably go with hot chocolate with whip cream or marshmallows and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

QOTD: What's your go-to comfort book or movie for cozy autumn nights?

message 4311: by Krystyna (new)

Krystyna (adoseofcozy) | 889 comments LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What’s a Halloween tradition you look forward to every year?"

I look forward to watching my annual re-watch of some of my favorite Halloween movies on Halloween (Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown, etc.).

message 4312: by Krystyna (new)

Krystyna (adoseofcozy) | 889 comments LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What's your go-to comfort book or movie for cozy autumn nights?"

I love watching You've Got Mail at any point during the year, but I enjoy it the most during the fall. It's just better during the fall, and so cozy and comforting. A go-to comfort book...well, I could list many. If I want something quick, I'd say The Tea Dragon Society, Pumpkinheads, or Mooncakes (all graphic novels). For books, I have to say The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue or The Hobbit.

Hot chocolate even though I don't even drink it that often.

QOTD:If you had to choose between reading a thriller, a horror, or a cozy mystery this month, which would it be?

message 4315: by Krystyna (new)

Krystyna (adoseofcozy) | 889 comments A thriller. I'm not a huge fan of cozy mysteries, at least the ones that I've tried. I just don't think it's my cup of tea. While I will read horror, it's not very often and I'm extremely selective on which horror titles I pick up. Thrillers are my go-to out of these options.

message 4316: by Debra Diggs (last edited Oct 09, 2024 06:42AM) (new)

Debra Diggs | 2445 comments Horror, because of Halloween. .... But a thriller might work too. Not big on cozy mysteries.

message 4317: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 372 comments Depends on the book and author but if going in blind, I’d go w/ cozy mystery.

QOTD: What's your favorite spooky (or non-spooky) fall activity?

message 4319: by Krystyna (new)

Krystyna (adoseofcozy) | 889 comments Bake pumpkin cream cheese muffins, make a cup of tea, and cozy up with a good book. I also love making chili and watching a good fall movie, or having a bonfire and roasting s'mores and reading on my kindle. It's hard to narrow down just one thing.

message 4320: by Debra Diggs (new)

Debra Diggs | 2445 comments I like painting pumpkins.

message 4321: by Vivian (new)

Vivian Stevenson (passionatelyperusing) | 2032 comments LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What's your favorite spooky (or non-spooky) fall activity?"

I don't really do anything for Halloween.

Jennifer Goins | 525 comments LCPL wrote: "QOTD:If you had to choose between reading a thriller, a horror, or a cozy mystery this month, which would it be?"

I love both so its a tie between thriller and cozy mystery.

We always have a kid friendly Halloween party and bonfire. We rotate years on hosting, but this is always my favorite thing for fall!

QOTD: If you could meet any fictional witch or wizard, who would it be?

message 4325: by Krystyna (new)

Krystyna (adoseofcozy) | 889 comments fantasy is my favorite genre, and I have many options to choose from...but, I think, I'm going with Gandalf.

message 4326: by Debra Diggs (new)

Debra Diggs | 2445 comments The aunts from Practical Magic.

message 4327: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 372 comments So many from which to choose, I can’t pick just one.

QOTD: If you were in a horror movie, how do you think you’d fare?

message 4329: by Krystyna (new)

Krystyna (adoseofcozy) | 889 comments I'd probably be one to survive because I would be the person that left before it got crazy, all because I got a bad vibe/feeling.

message 4330: by Debra Diggs (new)

Debra Diggs | 2445 comments I would die. I would procrastinate endlessly until it was too late to leave. Then I would be frozen with fright and killed.

message 4331: by Vivian (new)

Vivian Stevenson (passionatelyperusing) | 2032 comments LCPL wrote: "QOTD: If you were in a horror movie, how do you think you’d fare?"

It depends on the situation. I'd probably die first if it was something I had no control over.

If I had control, I'd live because I would simply leave.

Snickers. For anytime. Love the teeny-tiny sized bars.

If you are asking about candy corn, peeps, etc. I dislike all those.

Krystyna (adoseofcozy) | 889 comments I enjoy changing out bedding, throw pillows, and blankets. I also like to put out a bit of decor to add the warm tones of fall into my space. It makes it extra cozy.
