It's Here! September Read-A-Thon! It is time to start the September Read-A-Thon, which runs from 10PM PST today until 10 PM PST next Saturday!

Please stop by and post your reading updates here throughout the week, and let us know if you find any books you truly love, or if you find some duds that we need to avoid. We want to know how your week is progressing, so don't be shy about sharing. Most importantly, have a happy, fun week reading with your friends!

Both Half of a Yellow Sun and Americanah are on my TBR list. I may have to add this one, too, if you recommend it!

I'll probably start off with trying to finish The Pale King. David Foster Wallace isn't for everyone, but I think he's brilliant and hilarious.

Hope everyone has a wonderful reading week!

Day 1 Report:
Purple Hibiscus 321 pages completed

This is my first book by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, but I own Half of a Yellow Sun and Americanah. I can hardly wait to get to them now that I have read a book by her. WOW! It went straight to my favorites shelf with 5 stars. I love the way she slowly builds the story, but you see it coming all the time. Grand storyteller. I think you will like her, Ann.

I think I'll start an E. B. White book next. Here Is New York
