Cool! Haven't heard of it.

message 302: by [deleted user] (new)

So, Lily, are you going to do the National Lain Exam?

message 303: by Lily (new)

Lily | 1055 comments I'm not sure...

message 304: by [deleted user] (new)

You should. It only costs five dollars (or that's as much as it has cost me).

message 305: by Lily (new)

Lily | 1055 comments What is it?

message 306: by [deleted user] (new)

message 307: by Lily (new)

Lily | 1055 comments I'm still confused.

message 308: by [deleted user] (new)

It's basically an exam on Latin grammar, Roman history, Roman culture, and the comprehension of a short passage written in Latin. There are different levels of the test based on the level of Latin you're in. There are 40 questions on it. Depending on how many you get right, you can get different awards.

message 309: by Lily (new)

Lily | 1055 comments Oh. I'll have to look into it more. It sounds cool though.

message 310: by [deleted user] (new)

It is. I've done it the past two years and will do it again this year. =)

message 311: by Lily (new)

Lily | 1055 comments Cool. I'll check it out soon, but this is my first year learning Latin.

message 312: by [deleted user] (new)

It's my third. I love Latin. Actually, I prefer it to English.

message 313: by Lily (new)

Lily | 1055 comments Latin is really fun. I'm learning mostly useless stuff right now though. Like, 'the Romans conquered the Gauls.' But it is fun!

message 314: by [deleted user] (new)

Hey, that's important. Latin is great.

message 315: by Lily (new)

Lily | 1055 comments I guess. It gets annoying though, hearing all about the Gauls. Like, every sentence has Gauls involved, somehow.

message 316: by [deleted user] (new)

So you're reading about them in Latin or in English?

message 317: by Lily (new)

Lily | 1055 comments Both. English to Latin and Latin to English.

message 318: by [deleted user] (new)

So translating? Okay. We always did it off a story (a lame one, but a story nonetheless).

message 319: by Lily (new)

Lily | 1055 comments Oh. We have a bunch of exercises.

message 320: by [deleted user] (last edited Oct 22, 2014 01:13PM) (new)

We have those too. I'm technically ahead of my class (because I HAVE NO LIFE) I know more of the subjunctive case and how to form a gerund.

message 321: by Lily (new)

Lily | 1055 comments Lol. I'm always behind in my homework, mainly because I am easily distracted. Like, I should be doing stuff now, but too many things are happening.

message 322: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh. Well, go do work. I'm done with everything due this week. Basically. I need to come up with a science fair idea.

message 323: by Lily (new)

Lily | 1055 comments Yeah. But my grandma is coming for a visit, so a bunch of cleaning has to be done, and we have our cousin over, and I'm just lazy.

message 324: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh. My family's all local, basically. Local, or never really seen.

Science fairs are fun

message 326: by [deleted user] (new)

Was offered one of the last spots for it last year but didn't take the option.

Oh

When I was in third grade, I did a project on the solar system, then this year I did it on water vapor

message 328: by [deleted user] (new)

I don't care as much about science as I do other things for the most part. I am a bit excited for physics next year though.

Ohhhh I love physics!!! I don't know what year my high school offers it, but I can't wait to take it!

I'm a total Geek when it comes to science...

message 330: by [deleted user] (new)

Cool! I'm more of a language, history, math, art type. Basically, I'm a complete nerd. XD And geek.

I honestly love all my subjects equally, but especially English and History, and I love math because I have to work to solve a problem.

message 332: by [deleted user] (new)

I love what we're doing in precalc. I like how there's really only one right way.

I hate science fair with every fiber of my being. All of my ideas are either against the guidelines or too complicated/expensive

In other news, I dropped my iPod down the toilet and broke a mirror.

message 336: by [deleted user] (new)

Genius. *slow clap*

I picked up my bag and since it was upside down, the iPod fell out of the pocket. The mirror fell down or something, but I don't care as much. I've got like 14 years of bad luck now, along with like 50 years of sucky relationships (according to all the chain mail I've ignored).

When you told me that today Gabbu I was just like: :-/ *facepalm*

message 339: by [deleted user] (new)

lol well then

message 340: by [deleted user] (new)

? I fail to get the reference.

message 341: by [deleted user] (new)

Later. On Kindle and supposed to be sleeping. Earphones are downstairs. :/

Can you post at BBC and Cup of Joe or whatever it was called?

message 343: by Lily (new)

Lily | 1055 comments I see Gabbu has complained of her clumsyness. Again.

message 344: by [deleted user] (new)

On Kindle. I'll do JC, but BBC will wait until morning. Just got home an hour ago.

They won't. I am not enough of a risktaker to try. Morning it shall be.

message 345: by [deleted user] (new)

I trip over my own feet regularly. And I am not coordinated at all.

I somehow managed to injure my shoulder by swinging a baseball bat in PE

message 347: by [deleted user] (new)

I get tendinitis walking across a flat floor.
