I read "Tell Tale Heart" yesterday in English, jeez it creeped the hell out of me! We listened to an audio of it and it had the creepiest music... Agh

I read it back when I was 11. It was so cool. Some of the recordings are awesome! I read Masque of Read Death last year. I need to reread TTH. I need to read the Raven (part of which I have memorized despite never having read it).

Only school spirit day during spirit week (because Homecoming is apparently this thing I have no interest in) is tomorrow. Dress all in black. It's perfect for me.

So, today was nerds vs jocks day. One of my friends dressed up in a martial arts uniform and the other dressed up as a nerd (with a pocket protector!). Me, I wore my usual nerdy t-shirt (today's reading "Stonehenge Rocks"), my usual black cloak, my usual black jacket, my usual almost black jeans. I looked down at myself and said, "I'm the only one dressed normally." They both looked at me, so I had to revise that statement.

I have but one question.

My microwave caught on fire while my sister and I were home alone for a couple hours

Oh. You're alright though otherwise, right? I almost caught a microwave on fire once. I forgot to put the water in an easy mac. I play with fire too much for my own good.

Really? We caught it just before it caught on fire. The entire bottom of it was burned and the entire kitchen smelled of smoke! I may have had a repeat experience with forgetting the water too. . . .

Yeah, ours actually caught fire, and because I'm a bloody idiot, I forgot to turn the microwave off

Oops. Don't worry. I play with wax from candles while the flame is still going or just after it goes out. I tried that with a gel candle and apparently gel does not cool off as much. So I just kind of stood there in alarm as the tip of my finger burned. And then I ran to the sink, but not before I got a second degree burn.
