Does being a Kindle Single require exclusivity?

I've read the submission requirements for being considered and accepted as a Kindle Single. I don't read anywhere that it says you have to make it exclusive to Amazon. Am I missing something? Does anyone have experience with the Kindle Singles program? Thanks.
