Please! I need news about the movie, I can't wait for all the movies of TMI! :')

Hey, I can't wait either!
Cofa is coming out later than expected because they weren't going to make the film because so many people didnt like the first one but the producers decided that they could improve so yeah it won't come out until like next year or maybe even the year after :(

I read something about that but damn! I just hope they make it very cool. Even though every time I see the movie characters makes me think that the people playing the roles are not the people I imagined :/ makes me sad but I really hope that it gets better for COA! Can't wait to hear more news

Yeah same, and yeah I feel the same way about the characters too but I just can't wait for it to come out I hope it's better than the first :)

If we assess the movie in its own, movie was good. But we know the book we read the book so we know the characters, we know the whole story so we know the details. But i'm waiting the second movie! But i thing the should stick on the book.

I totally agree, I liked the movie in its own but to be about the TMI books it wasn't nothing as I expected. Of course, I think the audience was too harsh but I really hope the next movie comes out with more details and more action :D

The producers/director or whoever signed a contract before the CoB movie ensuring that they are under strict orders to make the first three books into movie adaptations.
They are still going to go through with CoA, but it could be ten years from now. And truthfully, if CoA is going to be successful, they would have to remake CoB, because the plot differed so vastly from the original storyline.
And I can't see that happening anytime soon.

I couldn't care less if the movie Valentine has white hair or not, but I was pissed about the major changes in the plot. For example, there was this huge explosion in Clary's apartment right at the beginning of the film. Why?! Why stick a huge explosion in there?

It was totally uncharacteristic for the Clary we've grown used to in the books. Blowing up her kitchen would not have been the last resort for book-Clary.
Though Jocelyn I thought was pretty badass in the movie. I dislike her in the books, but I admire Lena Heady for her badassery.

I totally liked Jocelyn and I liked Simon, Isabelle (even if she didn't have brown eyes), and Alec, but I think they got it wrong with Jace, Clary, and even Luke. Hopefully they get a good Maia and the Lightwoods :P

All I care about is Sebastian.

... Conor McLain is Sebastian. Literally. If they do go through with CoA, and they cast a sloth as him or something, I am done with the movie franchise.

Well, you know. It would be a whole new story since CoB was a big alteration to the actual book so a recast could mean that it will be a change in the story. Idk, who knows?

Idk I feel like Jamie Campbell ruined Jace for me. Lily too. I like them both, I have nothing against them but idk... Jamie eh he can adapt to my imagination but not lily. Simon, Magnus, Alec, and Isabelle are perfect. Oh and Jocelyn! Everyone was perfect, even Hodge! Lol, except for the main characters. I'm weird like that <.< oh well.

Yeah. I watched Jamie in different interviews and I think he should be himself more on the set. He is very rigid when he was playing Jace. I thought he could loosen up a bit. Does anyone else think that?

I do. I think he tried to act much like Jace that it looked more forced than natural.

I'd almost go so far as to blame the casting of Jace for the failure of the movie.

Sad and harsh but true. Jace aka JCB wasn't what we all expected...

He has - imo - zero scene presence, and Robert Sheehan acted him off the screen. I don't see how any girl would go for Jace rather than Simon, and Jace needed to be irresistible.

I know! I was disappointed :/ oh well, I HOPE they recast <.< :D anyway

I think that most all of the characters were pretty fine. JCB had to be so serious, because remember that in the beginning Jace was a cynic. If JCB chooses to produce a somber Jace to be cynical, I'm perfectly okay with that.

I don't think it was anything to do with him being sombre and cynical, Josiane - it was just his look. And no charisma.

His charisma was definitely lacking, I'll agree with you on that, but I think his appearance...well, let's just say that I had no idea a guy could pull back his hair that far

As for the character itself, the only other issue I had with him was that he seemed a little too apathetic, until after the greenhouse scene when Simon catches him and Clary outside her room. Then, he's just full of rage, and I liked that.

The greenhouse scene was my favourite. It was in the book too.

Yeah. I think that if he had just acted like himself, the movie character of Jace would have been better.
I wouldn't exactly blame Jace for the failure of the movie.
They didn't exactly " Show it off " Like they should have. They focused more on interviews which was a waste. Also it wasn't just Jace that was messed up.

Like Valentine was pretty bad casting xc BLACK HAIR??? WHAT is with those dread locks???? I thought a lot of things contributed to the fail of CoB

I really liked Jamie as Jace and Jonathan as Valentine!
I didn't like Lily Collins as Clary that's all. And I LOOOVED Robbie as Simon!
I guess that if they had just dyed Jonathan's hair white (woah this is turning opposite of the books! XD) and Not had such forced lines (befcause some of them were really cheesy) then it would have been better. They did a great job of publicity, but maybe a bit more could have been done. and also, no offence to anyone but I didn't like Kevin Zegers as Alec. I don't think he did a very good job at all and same with Jemima for Isabelle...sorry but just. erh no.
