It does seem like some kind of Tesla-style directed energy weapon was used in New York City on 9/11
Have people heard of Boeing's patent for a new 'Star Wars style' force field? It certainly sounds like something out of science fiction and it's coming to a future dystopian world near you soon! :)"The patent is for a shockwave attenuation system, which consists of a sensor capable of detecting a shockwave-generating explosion and an arc generator that receives the signal from the sensor to ionise a small region, producing a plasma field between the target and the explosion using lasers, electricity and microwaves.
This small plasma field would differ from the surrounding environment in temperature, density and/or composition. This would provide a buffer between the target and the explosion that would hinder the shockwaves from reaching and damaging the target."

She is a member of the Society for Experimental Mechanics (SEM), co-founded SEM's Biological Systems and Materials Division, and has served on the SEM Composite Materials Technical Division. Dr. Wood received her B.S. (Civil Engineering, 1981) (Structural Engineering), M.S. Engineering Mechanics (Applied Physics, 1983), and Ph.D. (Materials Engineering Science, 1992).

In the 1920s, Nikola Tesla worked on a directed-energy weapon (DEW) he called a teleforce gun. 21st Century researchers now refer to this device as the Tesla Death Ray. Many believe it was stolen from Tesla and used by the military; and many believe it remains in use today – possibly in a more advanced form.
