Lance Morcan | 3058 comments Excerpt from The Orphan Conspiracies: 29 Conspiracy Theories from The Orphan Trilogy:

There are a multitude of conspiracy theories concerning the Halliburton Company and its high-profile owners and associates.

As many people are aware, Halliburton is the multinational corporation that George H.W. Bush, Dick Cheney and George W. Bush are connected with. Yes the same corporation involved in controversies dating back to the Iraq War. But is there any truth to the dark conspiracy theories surrounding this corporation?

Martin Hill (martinroyhill) | 125 comments Dick Cheney was a member of the Project for a New American Century, a neo-conservative think tank that had advocated for an American invasion of Iraq since the mid-1990s. Before anointing himself vice president under W, Cheney was CEO of Halliburton and, through disastrous business decisions, nearly bankrupted the firm. Cheney used the Iraq war to virtually refinance Hailliburton, which made more profits from the war than any other company even though it was not a defense contractor. Interestingly, as OIF came to a close, Halliburton relocated from the US to the UAR where it was allowed to destroy most of it's corporate documentation.

The company generally regarded as profiting most from the war, aside from Halliburton, was the Carlyle Group, an investment firm owned by the Bush family and many of its cronies. George H W Bush was chairman of Carlyle's board of directors when we invaded Iraq and had to step down because of the obvious conflict.

Another example where wars are started in boardrooms. Where not a drop of blood was spilt.

I also found this out through my study of The Catcher In The Rye.

You might find my study interesting https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...

I was never interested in wars before reading this book. I think it was banned because it showed too many of the trade secrets...what it takes to have a war and who is vulnerable during war.

Cosmic Arcata | 45 comments So don't you think all the public leaders are fabricated. The ones that are not enemies are murdered in public places. This ones that are fabricated either commit suicide and then move to Brazil, or they have 11 body doubles, which we are supposed to be convinced of "To Tell The Truth" game style, or they are ambushed and killed at sea and no one had a cell phone.

It takes money to rise to power. These public figures are tapped. It was written about in The House of the Seven Gables and it will continue.

By the way i ak always interested in classics that contain these truths. So if you have a favorite or list of favorites please send them too me.
