No, Chris. I know there are ways to convert .mobi files, but I haven't taken the time to learn how.

I solved the problem by having two e-readers. LOL!

I just read e-books on my laptop using Bookviser, Adobe Reader, Yuzu

There is a free-ware program called Calibre that does a pretty great job in translating most formats to other preferred formats.

I generally use it to translate PDF's that I get into Mobi formats but it works the other way as well. It DOESN'T always work great. The biggest problem that I find is when a PDF is formatted for displaying pages two-up.

Does Calibre work on Windows?

yep. I'm running Windows 8.1 and I use it.

Have you read Paul Monette before? He was a superb writer, he first wrote novels until he was diagnosed with AIDS, and then he turned his attention to writing his memoirs.

To my shame, no. I've only recently discovered the writing of other gay authors so all suggestions are much appreciated. :)

I'd recommend reading all members of the Violet Quill, especially Edmund White.
