Ashley (ashleym99) I am reading What Have You Done. I'm about a third of the way through it already. It just jumps right into the story and keep you reading.

Ghost in the Stacks Currently reading Here & There, having a hard time getting into it.

A worthy entry to Neal's oeuvre. I'm enjoying it a lot.

I only managed to read 192 books last year. A lot of rereads including some easy YA fiction. I'll probably read some of them again this year. I'm finding heavier new books a struggle to stay interested. Must be getting old.

I'm posting this here because Heena had mentioned enjoying Lisa Jewell's books.

I just finished Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell. It was great! A very character-centered mystery. Well-written, and very emotionally heartbreaking. No spoilers - the less specifics about this missing person mystery the better your reading experience will be.

Thanks, Heena, for telling us about this author!

Dagny,

The book is a very quick read and can easily be finished in two days. I could not put it down, even when I started to come up with the solution to the “mystery.” What I liked most was that the characters were so interesting - even if not all were likeable.

You're welcome, Cheryl! I am so glad that you liked her book :D
Her characters are really, really interesting. And I agree about not liking all of them, I sometimes even despise some but that's how brilliant author Jewel is in creating her characters.
I haven't read this one but I'm starting with it by this weekend... and now I'm really looking forward to reading it!

Don't forget:

You can post your thoughts on any book you have read in this thread. It doesn't have to be part of any of our group's reading challenges. We all love to find out about great books, and you can post yours here.

Thanks for letting us know about this book, Dagny. I completely forgot about this thread! I’ll have to post here when the book doesn’t fit in a Challenge thread.

Mark (markvanvollenhoven) | 21 comments Very immersed into the Bourne Universe currently with having read 2 Bourne books now am busy with the 3rd Treadstone novel and having the 3rd series 1st novel Blackbriar on its way through European postal services. It seems that unlike its creator Bourne and his universe does not want to die.

Mark,

I had no idea that this series had been taken over by another writer. I guess Ludlum’s family liked the money from selling the rights to it. Do you think the new books are just as good?

Mark (markvanvollenhoven) | 21 comments The new Bourne books are just as entertaining but feel more in line with the recent 5 movies and tv series by the name of Treadstone. They are like Ludlum fun and entertaining. Both Lustbader and Freeman are accomplished writers in their own right.

I just finished Finlay Donovan Is Killing It by Elle Cosimano

This was a fun mystery that was a little bit chick-lit, a little bit cozy, and a little like something by Janet Evanovich. My review can be found here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

This might make a good Game Month selection, since it has a "solo person" on the cover, a catch-phrase title, and "Finlay" fits for the RMFAO game.
