YA Buddy Readers' Corner ♥ discussion

This is a two month challenge running from November 1st to December 31st 2014. Results will be posted on January 1st 2015.

Sequels pile up really quickly, and can easily get out of hand. This is your chance to catch up on your series before the new year!

The way this will work is that you will receive points based on what number book in a series you are reading, and because we love to motivate each other, a buddy read will be worth double points. Yes Double!

ex:

1st book in series
points: 1
buddy: +1


2nd book in series
points: 2
buddy: +2


3rd book in a series
points: 3
buddy: +3

and on, with a maximum of 5 points for a book (ie: if you read The Mortal Instruments #6 you will get the maximum of 5 points, +5 for a buddy read).


Rules:
• Books must be part of a series.

• Books must be at least 100 pages in length
Note; series Novellas between 75 - 100 pages will be worth 1 point, but ONLY if being read with a buddy (1 point includes the buddy reading points 0.5 for book and 0.5 for buddy)

• 2 re-reads are allowed, but only if they are read with a buddy, and detailed update/spoilers/reviews are submitted.

• Books must be read between November 1st - December 31st 2014.

No, Every book that's part of a series counts. You don't have to read them all from the start. :)

Yes ☺ We do this challenge november/december as it's a bit more laid back as we know people have holiday stuff going on ☺

I just made a list of all the books in series that I have started and haven't finished... I kind of want to cry. Luckily most of them are YA or Middle Grade so I should be able to fly through a lot of them... If I had realized I would have never let that many series pile up on me...

I know exactly what you mean! it's shocking! I made a shelf on goodreads and it has nearly 200 books on it now.

So I'm still lucky I've only got 41 sequels to finish? Haha.
