No worries.
A Sin Bingo is when a book does all 3:
1. The book cover is more than 50% the color of the sin
2. The genre of the sin can be found on the first page of the book's Top shelves
3. It fits the criteria that describes the sin.
An example of a Lust Bingo:
Lover Mine

This book cover is Red, It has a top shelf of guilty pleasure & it fits the criteria of steamy.
This book is a Sin Bingo.
**Note that this competition is not a cutthroat competition. What this means is that the captains have agreed that if a book looks like a color then that is good enough. If it is questionable then we check tineye.**
An example of looks:
Wilder Girls

This book does not look green to me BUT they are ruling it green by looks alone.

Her questions were regarding the Sloth criteria in case of a bingo. :D

I plan on reading Wilder Girls for the YA BOM.

Greed - That book is green for sure but it is also YA and Nikk the Sapphired Book Dragon from Team Invidia read it July 24, 2019. So that one works too ;D
You are awesome! Thanks for the help making my 2nd one fit.

Anytime you are questioning a book just holler because I will do my utter best to figure out how to make it work :D

You are the best! Do you plan on doing any DQ's? Just for participating as a team we will get 20 points extra. Writing DQ's take that 20 to 40 points.
and no worries if you aren't planning on DQ's :D 20 points is awesome!!
And it is nice to meet you and I hope your migraine has gone far far away :)

Anybody planning on reading Gideon the Ninth? I might if I had the book available to me, but it is sooooo far out of my comfort zone... ):

Does it count that I was born in Europe?? :D
No, Dragana is in Serbia she doesn't hasn't checked in :D

I would consider reading Gideon but only if no one else was considering it. ;D

So can we read extra books & just not claim them in this challenge? Or does that mean we can't read any more books that week after we hit the mark?

I get it. I miss moving too. My issue now is going to be staying close enough to my Grand-Baby. Lol

No it was the criteria of Voracity. Under the criteria point it said 600+ pages or something you can't stop Books in a very long series (12+ books). Books from a series or author that you can't stop binge reading. Books that have covers you want to eat (i.e covers that have food or drink on them. Yes, chocolate covered strawberries count).
So my question is in red to the binge part. Does binging have to be read right after the other from a series or an author? Or would it count if we keep reading that series or author?

As a team we can only read that many books in total.

Her questions were ..."
lol, my bad, it was Gluttony not Sloth..
I took the questions to the Captains and it is being debated right now.
When it's settled I will let you know.
:D

Her questions were ..."
They said binging would be if it was a series that you were reading one book after another. Or an Author that you kept reading book after book of.
Think of it like you were watching a series on Netflix and you were watching one after another.
Helpful?

Does it count that I was born in Europe?? :D"
where were you born and how long were you there? :D

you know I'm really all for these points but I'm afraid this book wouldn't be for me and might end up putting me into a reading slump ...

Books are rated by page count and categories:
Books between 100 and 499 pages = 0.1 points per page
Books between 500 and 799 pages = 0.15 points per page
Books 800 pages or more = 0.2 points per page
NOTE: Book Points will be rounded to integer.
EXAMPLE:
Pages Points
160 16
450 45
500 75
750 113
800 160
1050 210
7 points for achieving Sin Bingo
5 points for each book used for colour cover
3 points for each book used for top shelf
1 point for each book used for sin specification (EXCEPT for Avarice, which gets 0 points)
Examples:
Book #1:
I have one book that is 688 pages and meets category 2) Genre for 3 points = 103 + 3 = 106 points total
Book #2:
Then I have another book that is 400 pages and is a BINGO for 7 additional points= 40 + 7= 47 points
Point
Despite Book #2 being a Bingo I should read the other book because it is worth more points.
You don’t need to find BINGO books to be a valuable team member. :D
Bingo books are great and yes be checking for them but what you should be focusing on is reading books you enjoy because points wise they could be more valuable than a bingo book.
unless we get extra extra points for getting a specific number of BINGOS, lol, then it is game on for trying to get BINGOS
I just didn’t want anyone to feel bad if they can’t find a bingo book. Just read high page count books that meet the cover color requirement ;D and that will be awesome!

Does it count that I was born in Europe?? :D"
where were you born and how long were you there? :D"
Germany - only 3 years, lol. Not long enough to have anything except a dual citizenship :D

these are the library books I took home with me today:

and the one I bought at the train station :D

except for Landline they're all perfect for fall I think!
also, when I was at starbucks I finally got myself a reusable cup which I am super excited about! I don't go to starbucks or other coffee shops a lot, but I hate all the plastic we produce so I'm glad I can cut back at least a little bit :)

I wouldn't mind a dual citizenship :D

All these books do look perfect for fall! The Undead Girl Gang book cracks me up!
Glad that you got a reusable cup. Always feels good to do something that helps cut back waste.

As many of us as want to read BOM is all to the better. I'm definitely going to try to read all of them, including the Backroom BOM. :) We get the 20 extra points each time. It's only one of us that can get picked to do daily questions. :) It's great if you're interested in reading any of the books since it gives us a little bonus.

My name is Dragana and I am from Serbia, Europe, so Christina is now officially not the only European on the team. :D As for the timezone, it's GMT+2.
Some of you may know me from Bingo, previous TT or Uno since I've been stalking Goodreads team challenges for some time now. :D
As for planning, I am more of a mood reader, but I read a wide variety of genres with a focus on fantasy, SF, UF, mystery and contemporary. So I think I can cover all of the sins. :D

This is Team Sloth dropping by & wishing You All happy reading! :)

Hello Meindam *waves*

"Only Award-Winning Books - Any Award as long as it can be linked or appears on Goodreads book page. Books with a mirror or jewels on the cover. Really Shiny books. LGBT books."
why does it say "only award-winning books" but then we have other criteria as well? will just any lgbt book work, or does it have to also have gotten an award?

hey hey hey! Europe represent! :D
also, hi Dragana! I've had a few Serbian colleagues when I worked in the mountains a couple of winters ago :)

:( The worst thing to have in common. I hope all the time that my daughter doesn't get them too as she gets older, they're torture.

Hi! Happy reading. I think I will have to keep an eye on you guys if you live up to your sin.

There are different criteria so think of it as Award Winning or Mirror and Jewels or Shiny or LGBT
any LGBT will do :D

Thanks for the clarification. :D

That's what made me ok w/ Houston. Our kids hated all the moving so after our oldest graduated from Baylor, she stayed in Waco while we finished our tour in Germany. Then didn't want to leave. She's lives there over 10+ years now.

God I loved Germany. We lived in Stuttgart for 2 years & Kaiserslauttern for 3 years. Stuttgart not nearly as much as K-Town tho. That country is beautiful!

We went to Austria too & it was even more beautiful! Also Went to St Viet. I think that was the one in Austria too.

Sorry, that answer would be no. :)

ok thanks, the "only" just threw me off, but they probably meant only award winning as opposed to nominated books.
