I can only ever picture Ares as he was portrayed by Kevin Smith in the Xena and Hercules TV shows. Sadly, he died in an accidental fall in 2002.
I have not started reading this yet, it will be late in the month, I think.

I know I'm a little down on this series in general, but this made me laugh, in chapter 5: (view spoiler)

I have the final book ready to go. I will be on a mini-vacation in mid-November with plenty of reading time and this is one of the titles that I am bringing for a possible pool-side read.

Well, I mean, they are young!!

I’ll be sad when we read book 5 and I’ll be done with Percy! I can definitely see why this series is beloved. At my age, I found them to be the perfect “unwind” books. Percy and Grover made me chuckle.
I owned books 1-4 but I don’t own #5 so hopefully it’ll be available from the library soon.

Aren't there a bunch more books with Percy? He shows up somewhere in the Heroes of Olympus series anyway per the book blurbs.
