I don't know if it's really a slump, or if I just wanted a quick break, but I'm TRYING to get through a couple books and just having such a hard time motivated to read:
Along Came a Spider (Alex Cross, #1) by James Patterson Brave New World by Aldous Huxley

message 113: by Erika (new)

message 114: by Crissy (new)

Crissy (cwilson21) Currently reading All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr A Stolen Life by Jaycee Dugard Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell .

Kind of all over the map as far a genres go but I'm enjoying all of these so far. Especially A Stolen Life. It's a compelling but haunting memoir by Jaycee Dugard about her experience in captivity.

You'll have to let me know how Death Marked is - I tried reading the first of that series last year but I just could not get into it.

The first was hard for me to get into too, in fact I stopped reading it all together and then came back to it later. I'm glad I did though, it got better, good even! I'm enjoying the second as well, this series is easy for me to picture as I read which makes reading it a bit more fun for me.

Ok, so I have read the first couple books in Premonition. I noticed that there are a lot of similarities to Twilight but only book 1. It branches off and twists out of it. And I think it is a better story. I am almost done with Inescapable (The Premonition, #1) by Amy A. Bartol . The problem I have with these book, I crave Twinkies!

I read Cupcakes, Trinkets, and Other Deadly Magic (The Dowser #1) by Meghan Ciana Doidge , pretty good, makes me want a cupcake.

Thank you for the advice on Premonition as I am not a Twilight fan and that may have turned me off, plus I'm curious about Twinkies now!

I think I saw that you were reading Cupcakes, Trinkets, and Other Deadly Magic (The Dowser #1) by Meghan Ciana Doidge and wanted to check it out. It's cute so far and yes I definitely want to try her cupcakes!

Caroline Apologies if I was supposed to comment on a particular book, but I just read the ?. "What book are you reading?"

I am reading or beginning two ... Carolina Moon by Nora Roberts and Gray by John Grisham, and also Jane Austen's Emma for a classic roll.
