Erica S. | 3 comments I’ve been in a massive reading slump this year, any book suggestions to help me break this curse?

我是🌹 | 5769 comments Well for starters, you may want to try reading Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin. I’ve got my own copy here waiting on a held and read, but I must first finish up my read for my bookclub. It really has some good hype going, so you might want to check it out. Hope this helps!😊

Nicole Maria☽ | 13 comments I was in a really bad reading slump, it lasted 4 months! The book that got me out of it was Renegades by Marissa Meyer. I find her books to be easy to read and that definitely helps when your in a reading slump. I'm currently reading Serpent and Dove and would also recommend that.

Elyse (winesaboutbooks) Re-read a favorite! Or pick up a middle grade, something short.

Rachel Adiyah | 88 comments Read something that will put you in a different world. Some of the books that have broken slumps for me over the past two years include the multi-universal and time traveling adventure The Gone World, Blake Crouch novels Dark Matter - which is about traveling through alternate universes - and Recursion - which is about a unique form of time travel, Altered Carbon, Philip K Dick novels, and feminist YA novel Girls with Sharp Sticks by Suzanne Collins. Resonance and The Walls of the Universe should wake you up. Try something different than you usually read, sometimes it's all about being bored by reading the same genre all the time.

Tyler Gray (wickedjr89) I'd recommend re-reading a favorite, a short story, a web comic, or a graphic novel.

Melliott (goodreadscommelliott) | 510 comments When I'm in a slump, I go back and reread a favorite, just to reassure myself that not all books in the world can be bad if this one still makes me happy! Usually either something sentimental to me, or something mindless but entertaining.

Perfect for any reading slump! Sort of reminds me why I loved reading in the first place.
