A Dance with Dragons discussion

What do you think will happen before the end? I think everyone in Westerose with sense will unite before The Others get south of the wall but only just. I also think Daenerys might lose her dragons and they will be used in the final conflict. A youtuber named James Johnson and his Mom have some very good theories (I put a link to his video down below) . I also think the ending will be somewhat happy but bittersweet. George R.R. Martin said he loved the Scaring of the Shire in LOTR. I also think the Heir to the throne (whoever that may be) will turn it down and turn westerose into a republic of some kind. What do you think?

I imagine the final conflict will involve tragedy and hope. bittersweet indeed. I'm under the impression that 'A Dream of Spring' is to be the name of the final book. The dream would be the hope, but the story ends in darkness. Thanks George.

The prince that was promised (mayhaps Jon {if he's around} or Aegon) will be named and play his part. He will help defeat the darkness, and die. Melisandre, Ghost, and Aegon Targaryen will also play key roles in defeating the darkness. As will the Dragons. duh. the big one dies. Drogon? yeah. doornails.

Tyrion and Daenerys will meet, but not as cordially as readers would like. Thanks George

Jamie says something witty, then does something badass.

Cersei uses the mountain to do something doltish.

Bran flys, Bran cries, Rickon sighs, Jojen dies. Meera is great

Well, I've no ground breaking predictions, really. I've nothing to base my predictions on, aside from an inkling or nine.

I'm just excited to find out what parts the following characters play:

Edric Storm

Victarion Greyjoy

Aegon Targaryen

Melisandre / Stannis

Ghost / Jon

Nymeria / Arya

and Jamie fkn' Lannister, of course. I know that's not his middle name ... duh

I think something will happen with Theon. He's always in the background and I think he'd be dead by now if he wasn't important, maybe he'll do something to make up for his betrayal of the Starks.
Arya seems to have gone a bit nuts and I have no idea what will happen to her ( fingers crossed she will see Jon again, and if they do meet again I think Jon will be really shocked by how much she has changed).

I think that Bran will skinchange into one of the dragons ,though it hasn't been mentioned I still think it's possible, and (maybe Jon Snow will aswell because they're both Wargs) and then indirectly he might be one of the heads of the three headed dragon.Though changing into a dire wolf seems a lot easier then changing into a dragon.
Lastly I think Jon will be King in the North because there was a Northern King called Jon Stark before and I don't know I just thought there might be something to that coincidence.

I think Bran is being trained up to become a strong skin changer and possibly change into one of Danny's dragons.

Jon is as good as dead isn't he really? Hes been stabbed multiple times and with Martin's past Im not going to kid myself that he's going to save Jon.

I would love for Dorne to gang up on the Lannister's with Aegon Targaryen, this is going to be a great storyline! What will Danny do when she finds out he's alive?

Is Jon Snow's real mother Lyanna Stark?

I love Arya and hope she ends back up in Westeros, I think her wolf has a bigger part to play.

I dont quite know how I feel about Zombie Catelynn yet either!

Oh and im not implying that Ned stark and Lyanna stark were together, more that Jon is Lyanna's from either Reaghar or Robert.

Briefly, the only things I am confident about are that Bran will play a large part in fighting the Others and that the war with the Others will be the only thing to unite the kingdom. I'm not sure who will lead this, but I think that the Lannisters will be deposed. Probably it will be Danny and Tyrion will have something to do with it too. Martin seems to like these types of characters too much to kill them off. I think probably Jon is dead, Arya will kill Joffery. Which would be awesome.

Joffery was poisoned in the middle of book 3.
