Even though things aren’t going well with my fiancé we are working on it, the last couple months have been the kicker, you see we are taking care of my mom who was diagnosed with dementia in 2016 the year Martin and I got together, now 3 years later the stress has taken it’s toll, we love each other and need to work through this stress that has been building up together with a couples counselor so that’s what we are going to do.

Plus today is our 3 year and six month anniversary!

I needed to explain from my last post exactly why I’ve been having a rough couple of months. Thanks for listening

Whut?! Lanyon is a wonderful writer. I don't remember if this is a good example of her talent or not. I am a mega fan of hers but not all her books are 5 stars, sadly.

Sorry to hear things haven't been going well. I can only imagine the toll your mom's failing health is taking on you both. Wishing you all the best & I hope you get though this rough time with the least amount of turmoil possible.

Oh, Chad It is so hard to have a loved one go through dementia, and caring for them causes a lot of stress and strain. I hope things ease for you this holiday season and know that we are hear for you.

Leslie, I agree with Melissa, you have to read more Josh Lanyon!! I read this one, and I like it! But you have to read her Adrien English series, it's amazing and I love Adrien. <3 Who knows, maybe someone will drop it in your stocking. ;)

That's hard Chad, and would be a strain on anyone. But I'm really glad that you have someone who cares enough to stay and work on it, and that your mom has a good son that loves her enough to make the sacrifices you're making. Those kind of things come back to you, and they will.

Like Richard said, you can always vent here. These are the warmest, nicest people you can find. :) And all these books (and elf names, LOL) will brighten any day!
