Goodreads Choice Awards Book Club discussion

Alongside the group's monthly reads of the award winners, we also have a Monthly Additional Nominee Reads.

Group members will vote on each the awards category nominees (minus the winner of course!) throughout the year to decide which runner up will be the additional group read.

The poll voting is always scheduled so members will have approximately a month's notice before the read is scheduled to start. The schedule and results will be posted below.

Once a category poll is closed we will then open up discussion for the rest of the nominee books to set up buddy reads for any members interested.

I've already read it, it was almost as good as the first one. It might have just been that I haven't been to Paris and didn't relate to it as well as Edinburgh.

I was able to get a copy of Book Love from my library. It is a cute, little book. I think it will be a quick read. I'm looking forward to reading it with everyone in a few days.

I put a hold on Book Love at the library. I am number 13 on 1 copy so I won't be holding my breath!

Things You Save in a Fire and Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men

I read Things You Save in a Fire and thought it was really good. It's not my usual genre, but I enjoyed it enough that I even have her next book What You Wish For that comes out in July to review. I look forward to seeing what everyone else thinks of it.

I also just picked up Invisible Women in the Audible sale. It wasn't something I planned to read, but I'm curious enough to join the group in reading it.

I read The Nickel Boys in May. It was so good, but so sad. I am currently reading How to Be an Antiracist for my Nonfiction Nerds group, so I will plan onreading City of Girls in September. Great book choices!
