Austin, in many ways you are right. But every writer I know gets so close to their work they know what they intended to write, but can't see what they actually wrote. This goes for typos and incomplete sentences and dangling plot threads or unmotivated character actions.A second set of eyes is a blessing. We just have to remember that this is our book and not succumb to a critique group/editor/agent to make it their book. Listen and make your own decisions.

Thank you. I came here to converse with fellow writers for mutual support as a transition away from traditional publishing, not vilification by an uneducatable troll. I appreciate that I'm not the only one who found his arrogance offensive.

Even without the sale, my prices are reasonable (anywhere from $100-$500 cheaper than most editors) and I do make payment plans if need be, because I know that the economy is bad right now and authors need all the assistance they can get! (I am one, after all.)
