Karl Burgess | 24 comments Goals for 2020...hmmm? I've been thinking about this a bit for the past week or so and decided not to have any specific number of books read goal, but figure I'll finish somewhere over 50 so this is a good place to post them. Probably not by much though.

I do have specific books to read goals though:
1. The Civil War: A Narrative - I've owned the paperback box set for years but haven't read it even though it stares at me from my bedroom bookcase.
2. In Search of Lost Time - I started reading this 6 or 7 years ago, but then drifted away from it. Beautifully written and makes you think about your own past.
3. Byzantium 3 volumes by John Julius Norwich - I've read the first 1.5 volumes of it then sold a house and bought a house and never picked it back up again.
4. Start (and finish?) The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire Volume I
5. Read the last 3 volumes of the d'Artagnan Romances by Alexandre Dumas (plus volume 1.5 which I missed somehow) - I really enjoyed books 1, 2, and 3.1.
6. Read a handful of books off the 1001 Books to Read Before You Die list. I'm at 140 read so far.
7. Read some misc Sci Fi and Fantasy novels from Kindle Unlimited.

There...that should keep me busy for the year!

Karl Burgess | 24 comments I started reading the first volume of The Civil War: A Narrative about a week ago. I've also started (from the beginning) In Search of Lost Time.
