Tim | 33 comments My goal for this year is currently 42 books in 2020. For those curious about my side goals for the year, I’ve given this some thought and I’ve given up page count goals. I can never pull them off. So with that in mind, I'm keeping the 42 books goal and adding the following:

12 books by Philip K Dick.

More classics ("more" is vague, but in this case I just mean that I want more classics read before the end of the year. Make an active attempt to clear classics off my to read list)

More horror (Perhaps horror classics, thus knocking out 2 at once)

While I always read a few Japanese novels every year, I want to read some other translated works... at least 4 translations to English that are not Japanese (while not required, if they are classics or horror, all the better!)

Finally at least one French novel... because as much as I'm ashamed to admit this, I've never read any French literature.

With all that said, let's start this!

Thank you! Just finished the second book and it at least hit one of my side goals. :)

Tim | 33 comments Another update. Currently at 5 books now, having done two foreign language novels and two books that could be considered classics (one published in the 1930s and the other with a date unknown but estimated to be sometime in the 17th century).

I recommend The Three Musketeers for a French novel. Of course, you may be thinking of something more current and written in French 😎

Thank you for the suggestion! I already read The Stranger for my French book, but that does not mean that there can't be a second one. :)

Tim | 33 comments Just added a huge update as I realized I hadn't done so since February. March was a disappointing month with only one book, but hopefully that won't happen again this year.

Tim | 33 comments After missing both August and September (my life took a weird turn and no reading at all), I've finally come back and updated with quite a few new books read this month.
