Hey team! I've been thinking about how to approach the challenge since it was announced and I have an idea. A pretty simple one. Basically, we write down names of about 5 (or more, if you want) authors by whom we're willing to read two or more book in February. And we basically find authors we have in common. To start, I've got two authors.

Great! I can make Stephen King a focus point. And maybe Peirce Brown if we can do all 5.
I'll do for sure if that is the case. Then maybe the other "Past Midnight" books. Goodreads has them individually and all over 200 pages so they can count. :)
in particular is another short one. :)
Also, The Mist, Thinner, or Carrie are shorter. If we choose to get more in for the points. :)

I can do Two Past Midnight. I'll read the first story then join you for the others. Also, I was thinking of reading Misery. But if I'm reading these, I don't want to plan Pierce Brown books as well. When I plan too many books, things fall apart and I get none of them read.

I can look for a Stephen King book to read this month.

I'm open to read from any authors, so long as I can get ahold of their books, but I'm a big fan of crime, mystery, horror, thriller so I'd be more than happy to do those.

The only author I have on my plate right now is

as I'm planning to read the Pretty Little Liars series.

@Quirks, I added the other Past Midnight books separately for threads so we can get credit for each individually. Since we can't do it as a series thread anymore. So each has their own link.

I think (I have to check with the mods If I can start it again)can do Red Rising as an audiobook and I MIGHT be able to get in the next one (or join you at book 2 if I can't). But I won't be able to do more than 2 of his books this month. So we would need you to do the other 3 for the minimum or we can wait and see if someone else can pick one up. :) Meanwhile I'll go ask about restarting.

I could do one Pierce Brown book. I've read Red Rising already so I'd be the second one.

@Kate, so if I can do 1 with you, maybe 2, would you be able to do 2-3 of them for sure and then Quirks will join bk 2? If one other can join us to be safe, that would be good though...

That's great! What volume are you on? I've read the first 3 and I'm doing at least the next three (I have the 3-in-one editions), but I can do more as well.

I've only ever read the first volume so I'd likely start over. but they are quick. Are the 3-in-1 listed as over 600 pages?

They're 576 pages. All of them. But the single volume editions have other editions with larger page counts.
Also, I'd like to start over as well. I read the first three volumes a while ago.

Ah. I was thinking maybe BRing them based on omnibus since it can be hard to come up with enough for 4 comments + original review for a single volume. But since they are shorter, that won't quite work that way. Oh well.

We could ask Sarah if an exception can be made...

True. Maybe like if we were to review each individually but can br the omnibus or something as a compromise if needed.

@Jamie I asked Sarah and she suggested that we just read and review the omnibus edition and, with each one, read a short story. It only needs to be about 8 pages (over 2000 words) to complete the required page count. She gave links to some stories on smashwords.
