Steven Guscott | 10 comments Not yet :( I really, really want to! I just need to track down the dvd if it exists.

I do have his graphic novel collection, Metabarons, which is brutal and awesome! It has a whole bunch of concepts he was going to weave into his Dune film, but they ended up in this story instead.

Andrei Mocuţa | 4 comments yeah, really good documentary and jodo is in good shape :) I really enjoyed it, it contains many behind the scenes episodes, but also the plot and the ending of the dune film that should have been. with a very jodorowskian twist, of course ;)

Andrei Mocuţa | 4 comments you can find the best quality blu ray version of it on piratebay :)

Steven Guscott | 10 comments ARRRRR!!! But din-ya heaaar! Davie Jones' curses on the seven seas, the swashbuckling pirates had their ship sunk! Vikings took them out if the rumors be true!

I don't have a blue-ray player but will look into seeing if the dvd is available. I've just been too lazy, but with Christmas coming up I can get Santa to see what he can do.

Steven Guscott | 10 comments I wish I had the American Netflix! I tought it was an actual film too and went mental with excitment and confussion at how I didnt know about it. Then I realised it was a dcoumentary and was a little disapointed but still looking forward to seeing at some point :)

Jesse Coulter | 2 comments Saw it last night. Awesome insight into what would have been a no doubt weird as hell, but probably pretty cool movie. My only beef was that the version I saw had no subtitles so I was expected to know English, Spanish, French and German (I don't).

On a related topic I heard that the new film adaptation has gone from Peter Berg to Pierre Morel as director. Not sure how I feel about this.

*Kashi* | 13 comments I don't believe anymore. that they'll make another adaptation or a Good one. I did liked the Sci-fi channel adaptation. except for a few dialogues that were interchanged, and the fact that in the book the Fremen had facial hair. William Hurt needed a lil' bit of direction with the Duke. but I'm very happy with that version.

Jesse Coulter | 2 comments Yeah in all likelyhood it'll be one of those films forever lost to production hell. I still believe it's possible to do a good film adaptation of the first novel as long as they're willing to either make it two films or one long-ass one. I thought the mini series was passable but it just looked cheap and crappy. If you could combine the awesome set design and costuming of Lynch's disasterpiece with the commitment to the book of the mini series, and apply the right vibe, it would be amazing.

But I think it's possible that the closest we'll ever get is Avatar (which, let's face it, it the poor man's Dune with desert exchanged for jungle).
