I wasn’t going to do it since I have a lot of book reads going on but this book sounds fantastic!! Now if my library sends it before March I’ll be so happy!!!

Hello! Not sure if anyone else is going to join in on the buddy read this month, and I'm actually still reading, but I thought I would pose a few questions.

One of my thoughts is about their age difference...it seems a lot but for that time, I don't think it was as big of a deal as it would be today.

My second thought it about how they fell in love but compared to contemporary times, they didn't have a lot of interaction together. Did their falling in love come across as realistic as portrayed by the author?

It probably wasn't such a deal about the age difference then as that was pretty common even up until the 1940's or 50's. My dad was 24 years older than my mom. She married her boss who was a widower.

I finished the book this morning. I thought it was very well-written, especially for such a tragic story.
