I've mentioned it from time to time so some of you might know, but I am a student, currently studying English Literature and Creative Writing. The last couple of days I have been dealing with the sad news that one of my creative writing tutors, Dinesh Allirajah, has passed away. Obviously, this has been very upsetting for everyone.

So why am I posting this here? Well, though I like to think he enjoyed teaching us lot, it wasn't his dream to teach. It was his dream to write, and write he did, and he did it well. One of his short stories was included in a sci fi anthology called Beta-Life. I'll paste the link below.

My motivation to buy this is obviously Dinesh. That said, the anthology looks pretty darned good on its own. The focus is on artificial intelligence, and a close collaboration between authors and scientists should make for a meaty read for all. Actually, click the link, the page sells it better than I can.

The book sounds good in any case, and I'm sure the work of all the contributors will be of interest. I am posting this here because I liked Dinesh, because he wanted his work to be read, and because it deserves to be.
