8 Week Dash For the Win!
Challenge Dates:
Signups open until April 11, 2020 at 9 PM US EDT.
Remaining Teams Assigned after signups close on April 11, 2020.
First Task Assigned April 14, 2020 at 6 PM US EDT.
Challenge Ends on June 9, 2020 at Midnight US EDT, tasks will not be accepted after this time.
Each team will work together to complete tasks. Once complete, you will be given another task to complete. After the first task, teams will be on different paths with tasks randomly assigned. The same tasks may be assigned to different teams at different times, but no task will be used more than once by the same team. Each team works at their own pace and the team that completes the most tasks at the end of 8 weeks will be the winner!
After the first task is given to everyone, when a team finishes their task they will need to report their completion in the Tracking/Q&A thread. I will confirm the completion and assign their next task. New tasks will not be assigned more frequently than every other day. I will attempt to respond quickly to confirm completion and assign new tasks, but please allow up to 24 hours. If I am unavailable, another mod will assign the task.
Each teammate will need to participate in each task, but may take a pass for one task during the course of the challenge. For some tasks, no passes will be allowed. Completions posts will need to be made when finishing each book for a task, similar to the PtP and Bachelor Challenges. A player will be removed if they make no comment for 5 days after a new task is assigned or 3 days after the rest of the team completes the task (whichever is later), despite attempts to make contact.

Task

Date Completed.
There is a 150 page minimum for books, rereads and audios ok. Books may only be used once per player during the challenge. Players may read the same book for a task unless otherwise specified. Books do not have to be romance, but must be fiction.
**For this challenge, use the GR Kindle first edition page count if available. Ebook page count will be acceptable if no Kindle page count available. The acceptability of other page counts will be made on an individual basis**

Please select a team leader to help keep track of where your team is in any given task. And as necessary guide discussions for task decisions. Any teammate can report your completions though.
PS - If you want to be known as anything other than Team 2, you are free to come up with a team name. 😉

I believe i've played with all of you except Sarah (i think). Sarah, i know we've exchanged picks once in MnG.
I'm so excited about our team. I've had fun playing with you in other challenges and I'm looking forward to getting some good recs and discussing books and having fun.
It would be great if we could have a team name. My suggestions:
Are we there yet
Tag, you're it
2 fast 2 furious
romance reading racers
reading around the bend
reading you in the dust
pimp our stride
Pages to go
Gangster readers
reading relay

I'm really looking forward to hanging out with you all for the next couple of months or so! Hopefully we can all read some great books and have a lot of fun along the way. 😀
Chan, you've got some great name ideas there! I'm so bad at names, I'm always impressed when someone can come up with good ones. I'd be fine with any of those, but I especially like "Are we there yet?" and "Tag, you're it!" (with or without the added punctuation).

Me too. with or without punctuation. Let's see if Courtney or Sarah have name suggestions.

I'm so terrible at names, too!
All I got is:
Reading in the time of Corona

All I..."
No worries, Courtney! I think (hope) all of us are more interested in having a good time and reading good books than in winning at all costs!
In addition to a team name, we also need to choose a team leader. I can do it if nobody else wants to but I'm also perfectly happy to have someone else handle the job, so if any of you are interested just chime in!

Courtney, do what you can. Please don't stress yourself out. Oh guess what! the book you rec'ed to me in the last Bachelor Challenge - the vampire mail order bride...just found it on audible escape. I'm hoping to have a reason to listen to it for this challenge.
Any votes on what we should be called?

My son is going through that horrible transition between needing a nap and wanting to stay awake all day, so my normal afternoon reading time has been compromised a bit 😂. Hopefully, we'll get it worked out soon. I'm thinking about implementing 'Mommy sanity quiet time' in the afternoon, so I can read for an hour or so and the kids can watch TV. 😄

Courtney, Mommy Time should be mandatory :o)

Do you think we should we should do a noun name like that? Like Bookshelf commandos, Romance raiders, or Stranded readers? Something like that?

But I'm cool with keeping 'Are we there yet?' too. Whatever you guys think.

I sent a PM to Sarah to let her know we have a team thread, just in case she missed that it was here.
So sorry for the delay... I have no excuse as I am literally doing nothing lately being at home (except reading and knitting lol)
I am happy with whatever name gets picked and am also happy to help out in any way that I can. I will check in here lots now... I promise, no more disappearing acts lol

Any opposers?"
That sounds good to me! Sorry, I somehow missed this earlier, until I got the notification for Sarah's post.

It looks like we all agreed on Stranded Readers. I posed the name in the Q&A thread.
Karen, I've been missing updates too. There must be something going on with GR.

Not sure if you read through the tasks, but many of them will require real team effort. Exciting, right?!?! Let's take a look at the first 10. I thought splitting them up would be easier.
Tasks:
1. Each player reads a book by the same author, teams decide author - no pass for this task.
~We should pick an author who writes a variety of genres, this will make it easier for everybody to find a story they will enjoy. Any ideas?
2. Read 6 books rated over 4.0.
~Seems simple
3. Read 6 books with over 2500 ratings.
~Two of us will need to read two books. I can tentatively volunteer for reading two books. Anybody else?
4. Read a minimum of 750 pages in books tagged/shelved as sports.
~to make this fair, I think we should all find a book at least 188 pages. If there is a book someone wants to read less than 188 pages, then we should check in with the team. whatcha think?
5. Each player reads the first book in a series, can be same or different series - no pass for this task.
Seems simple
6. Each player reads a book by a new to you author - no pass for this task.
Seems simple
7. Read 4 books in continuing series.
~Not sure if it has to be the same series. Anybody understand this one?
8. Read a minimum of 1000 pages in books with Contemporary Romance as MPG.
Again, to be fair, we should all commit to books with at 250 pages. If someone wants to read less, they should check in with the team. what do you think?
9. Read 6 books in the same sub-genre, teams decide.
~We should start think about genres we all enjoy. I'm pretty flexible, but I cannot read thrillers/scary books. Do any of you have genres that you will NOT read?
10. Read 4 books tagged/shelved as PNR or fantasy.
~Seems simple

Not sure if you read through the tasks, but many of them will..."
Ok, here's my input on at least some of the first 10 (some are pretty simple, as you said).
1.Maybe we could start by each of us coming up with a few authors that we particularly like, or that we think would be popular, and then see if from those lists we can find one that we're all ok with?
3. I should be able to read 2 books, too (and that applies for most any task requiring 6 books for the team).
4, 8. Looking for books with a minimum page count sounds fair to me, however I'll just put it out there that most of the books I read tend to land above either of the numbers for these tasks, so I can hopefully be a bit of a cushion if someone has a shorter book that they really want to read.
7. I'm pretty sure this means we don't have to read books in the same series, because it doesn't say "teams decide". Also, there is a task farther down the list that does require us all to read books in the same series (yikes!) Probably wouldn't hurt to ask for clarification on this one ahead of time though.
9. I'm pretty flexible too, and read a wide variety of sub-genres regularly. I'm not a fan of inspirational or horror. I'm pretty picky about YA, but I could find something that works for me there. There are others (like Sci-Fi and fantasy) that I don't read a lot, but don't have anything against...they just don't seem to bubble up to the top of my TBR very often.

No, not yet. We'll work on it {giving Karen the side eye}"
🤣🤣🤣
I will update with Karen as the leader. 😊 (And I will answer your question in the Q&A too, but it might not be until morning - need to get the PMs out.)

1. Each player reads a book by the same author, teams decide author - no pass for this task.
I know Kristen Ashley has a lot of variety, but her books are usually on the longer side, so might not work for everyone. Jaci Burton generally has light, sweet contemporary stuff. I've read a few of her sports ones, but there's a new series with firefighters that looks good.

2. Read 6 books rated over 4.0.
3. Read 6 books with over 2500 ratings.
I could read two short books fast, but two long books would take me most of the week.
4. Read a minimum of 750 pages in books tagged/shelved as sports.
Tons of hockey books on my TBR, so I'm good with this task :)
5. Each player reads the first book in a series, can be same or different series - no pass for this task.
6. Each player reads a book by a new to you author - no pass for this task.
I need to go through my TBR and see what I've got, unless someone has a recommendation of an author they love?
7. Read 4 books in continuing series.
I read this as either we all need to read a book in the same series, or that we all read whatever we want but the book has to be in a series, just not a standalone.
8. Read a minimum of 1000 pages in books with Contemporary Romance as MPG.
9. Read 6 books in the same sub-genre, teams decide.
I'm pretty good with anything except YA. Teen angsty drama makes me wanna hurl. I would prefer to stay away from suspense as well, just because I find it dull. Looks like we already have sports and fantasy here, so should we stay away from those as well? Chan, you don't like shifter stuff, right? Do you guys like historical romances at all? I have a lot of Tessa Dare stuff on my TBR, hahaha.
10. Read 4 books tagged/shelved as PNR or fantasy.

15. Read 4 books by authors' who write under more than one name (Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb).
Would Ruby Dixon count? It says on the author page that it's a pen name of another famous author, but doesn't say who. Otherwise, does anyone have suggestions for this?
57. Each teammate reads a book set in one of your teammates' home town, no pass for this task.
Anyone from a big city? I'm from Columbus, OH originally. I doubt there's a single romance that takes place there, hahaha
59. Read 4 books published in the decade of a teammate's birth, team decides which teammate.
Who's the youngest? I was born in the 70s.....not a lot to find from that decade I think, especially digitally.

https://www.goodreads.com/places/1697...

25. Each player reads a book in a series, teams decide. No pass for this task.
51. Each teammate reads a book published in the same month and year, teams decide. No pass for this task.
52. Read 6 books set in the same location, teams decide the location.
53. Each teammate reads a different book by the same author, no pass for this task.
54. Read a minimum of 1200 pages in books of the same sub-genre, but by different authors.
56. Read 6 books with the same color cover, teams decide color.
I seem to have a lot of black or blue books. What about you guys?
57. Each teammate reads a book set in one of your teammates' home town, no pass for this task.
59. Read 4 books published in the decade of a teammate's birth, team decides which teammate.
70s...That's going to be hard.
60. Read 6 books set on a beach or in the mountains, teams decide which.
I have sooooo many mountain man/lumberjack books on my TBR shelf, so my vote is mountain, hahaha.
61. Read a minimum of 1500 pages in books by the same author, teams decide author.
Any favorites?
62. Read 6 books published in a teammates' birth month, you may not use your own month.
I'm November!
63. Read over 1000 pages in books that start with the same letter (no articles), teams decide letter.
65. Read 6 books set in the same country outside the US, teams decide country.
UK would be easy if we read historical romances.
66. As a team, pick a list with over 100 romance books on it, each member reads a book from that list. No pass for this task.
Maybe we could do like the most anticipated romances for a year? Those lists always seem to have a lot of variety.
Most Anticipated Romance Books of 2018
Most Anticipated Romance Novels of 2019
67. Read 6 books with a specific item on the cover, team selects item.
A hat? Dogtags? Motorcycle? Sword? Trying to think of things I see all the time...
69. Read over 750 pages in books about the same profession, teams decide which profession.
I was thinking athlete or firefighter would be super easy. Anything else?
73. Read 6 books published in the year one of the teammates joined RRRC, teams decide which teammate.
I joined 2018.
75. Read 6 books that have the same romance trope, teams decide which trope.
Secret baby? Fated mates? I don't know. I'm bad at these.

LOL, that was my first thought when I saw this task too...and it's definitely not me, pretty sure I'm the oldest (born in the 60s).

52. Read 6 books set in the same location, teams decide the location.
how specific does this have to be? Continent, country, city? This will probably rule out fantasy books. We should probably pick a big place like New York or Cali.

Let’s pull from the sub genre list in Task #9

Chan - I think I joined in 2015.
Courtney - 2018
74. Read 4 books that are NOT MPG Romance.
75. Read 6 books that have the same romance trope, teams decide which trope.
Here’s a few, feel free to add: Friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, fake relationship, Second chance, forbidden love, love triangle, millionaire/billionaire, Secret baby, Fated mates

1. I'm not really a Kristen Ashley fan, but love the other three. Also some that seem to be pretty prolific and quite popular right now - Sabrina Bowen, Vi Keeland, Penelope Ward, Lauren Blakelsy. Oh, and one other perennial favorite - Jill Shalvis.
7. Read 4 books in continuing series. - I posted the question in the Q&A thread whether or not we all need to read the same series, and we don't. But don't make the same mistake I did - it didn't click in my sinus-fogged brain that this means a series that isn't complete yet...
9. Read 6 books in the same sub-genre, teams decide.
Will Not Read – Inspirational, Horror, Thriller, Young Adult, Suspense
What About – Contemporary, Shifter, Vampire, Historical, New Adult, Erotica, Paranormal, Futuristic, Fantasy, Western
This all works for me!
15. Read 4 books by authors' who write under more than one name (Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb).
J/K Rowling, Anne Rice, Agatha Christie
More options: Shelly Laurenston, Lorraine Heath, Sawyer Bennett, Alexandra Ivy, Marie Force, Jennifer Ashley, Carly Phillips, Sabrina Jeffries, Katie MacAlister, Laura Kaye, Elizabeth Hoyt.
18. Read a minimum of 750 pages in books tagged/shelved as children.
children’s books are normally short; we’ll probably each have to read a couple of books
True, although there is a 150 page minimum for the challenge, so if that requirement is fulfilled then only one person (at most) will need to read a 2nd book. And there are longer options - things like Harry Potter, etc.
21. Read a book recommended to you by a teammate - no pass for this task.
Should we pick who recommends to who? Could we all post a list of 3 or 4 books that we would recommend, then we pick from those lists?
I was thinking your 2nd option - each list several books we would recommend, then we could all just pick from each other's lists.
22. Read a minimum of 1000 pages in books with a non-English language edition.
I’m don’t get it. Can someone explain this one?
In order for the book to qualify it has to have been published in another language besides English. We don't need to read the non-English edition, there just needs to be one.
25. Each player reads a book in a series, teams decide. No pass for this task.
Feel free to add to this list: Maybe by Colleen Hoover, Charley Davidson by Darynda Jones, Rosemary Beach by Abbi Glines, Key Trilogy by Nora Roberts, Elder Races by Thea Harrison, Storm and Silence by Robert Thier, Acts of Honor by KC Lynn, Tangled by Emma Chase, Nocturne Falls by Kristen Painter, Tallgrass by Marilyn Pappano, Elite Force by Catherine Mann, The Burke Brother by Emma Hart, In Death by JD Robb, Rock Chick by Kristen Ashley, Chaos by Kristen Ashley, Reluctant Royals by Alyssa Cole, Fox and O’Hare by Janet Evanovich, Colorado Mountain by Kristen Ashley, Lux by Jennifer Armentrout, The Hathaway’s by Lisa Kleypas, Beautiful Bastard by Christina Lauren, Rokesbys by Julia Quinn, Brew Ha Ha by Bria Quinlan, Red Dirt by NR Walker, Temptation by Ella Frank, Wildstone by Jill Shalvis
Great list! Not much to add, other than several of the authors have multiple series that might work...Jill Shalvis, Lisa Kleypas, Nora Roberts, Thea Harrison, Emma Chase, etc.
42. Read 4 books #5 or higher in a series.
I’m assuming it doesn’t have to be the same series
No, unless it states "team decides" or something like that, they don't need to be from the same series/author/whatever.
45. Read 4 books by one of the 2020 FACs.
RRRC FAC Page - We're not doing a separate FAC challenge anymore, it's just part of the monthly challenge now. Here's the list so far this year:
January - Tessa Bailey
February - Jeaniene Frost
March - T.J. Klune
April - Julia Quinn
51. Each teammate reads a book published in the same month and year, teams decide. No pass for this task.
Gosh this will be hard. I don’t even know how to start deciding this one. Any ideas?
Yes, this one might be hard. I'm guessing something fairly recent will be the easiest, but not sure..
52. Read 6 books set in the same location, teams decide the location.
how specific does this have to be? Continent, country, city? This will probably rule out fantasy books. We should probably pick a big place like New York or Cali.
Not sure how specific or broad this will need to be - someone already asked and Kat said she'd give specifics if/when the task is given. I'm sure though that we'd be safe with a city, so if we wanted to look for books in NYC, Los Angeles, London, or some other large city, that would work.
53. Each teammate reads a different book by the same author, no pass for this task.
Should probably choose authors like KA, Nora Roberts, etc. Somebody who has written a lot of books to give us some variety. Any authors you want to add?
Similar to task #1 - we can just use the same potential list.
54. Read a minimum of 1200 pages in books of the same sub-genre, but by different authors.
Let’s pull from the sub genre list in Task #9
Agreed
55. Pick another team and each member reads one book that was read by a member for this challenge. No pass for this task.
I went through the team lists and could read something from any of their shelves. So, let me know which team you all want to use
I'm sure if you were able to find books on any of the teams, I'd be able to also - we both have pretty broad reading tastes. Courtney and Sarah, any preferences?
56. Read 6 books with the same color cover, teams decide color.
These are getting harder. How much of the color has to be there? If it doesn’t matter then we should pick something like black or grey which is on almost every cover
Usually for these the cover needs to be at least 50% the color chosen. My best guess is that black, grey, blue or white would be the easiest, although for some crazy reason my current M&G list has a lot of purple and orange...go figure!
57. Each teammate reads a book set in one of your teammates' home town, no pass for this task.
Can we use a state instead of exact location? So, far we have Ohio, California, Georgia
I'm in Washington State - currently living out in the boonies and not in a town or city, but consider Seattle my "hometown". I'm guessing state might be sufficient, but don't know that for sure.
59. Read 4 books published in the decade of a teammate's birth, team decides which teammate.
We have 60’s, 70’s, 80’s. Sarah can you add your decade?
Let's just keep our fingers crossed that we manage to avoid this one!
60. Read 6 books set on a beach or in the mountains, teams decide which.
Courtney and I vote for Mountains
Mountains works for me, too
61. Read a minimum of 1500 pages in books by the same author, teams decide author.
Again, should use an author with a lot of books.
Mariana Zapata, Samantha Young, Kristen Ashley, Rebecca Zanetti, Susan Stoker, Anne Stuart, Jill Shalvis, Kylie Scott, Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb, Aurora Rose Reynolds, Penny Reid, RL Mathewson, Meghan March, Lisa Kleypas, Elle Kennedy, Vi Keeland, Brenda Jackson, Linda Howard
Same as the other two above...we can probably list as many authors as we can come up with and then narrow the list based on individual preferences
62. Read 6 books published in a teammates' birth month, you may not use your own month.
Please add your month: September, November
I'm April
63. Read over 1000 pages in books that start with the same letter (no articles), teams decide letter.
My Goodness. I don’t know how to start this one either. Any letter suggestions?
I can be pretty easy on this one - my current M&G list has several C, D, and S titles, but also one or two of lots of other letters - and who knows what might still be left if/when the task is assigned?
65. Read 6 books set in the same country outside the US, teams decide country.
I agree with Courtney that UK would be easiest.
Works for me
66. As a team, pick a list with over 100 romance books on it, each member reads a book from that list. No pass for this task.
Not good with the lists. These are the two lists that Courtney listed:
Most anticipated Romance Books of 2018
Most anticipated Romance Books of 2019
Either of these lists I think would be good options - very large lists with a lot of variety. We should all be able to find something we like on either one of them.
67. Read 6 books with a specific item on the cover, team selects item.
something easy like clouds, shoes, jewelry
Courtney suggested A hat? Dogtags? Motorcycle? Sword?
I can't think of any specific items that might be particularly easy, especially since we don't know how specific we need to be. Would jewelry work, or would it need to be as specific as a ring or necklace?
68. Read a minimum of 1000 pages in books written by an author whose first or last name begins with the first letter of a teammate's screen name.
We have C, K, S
69. Read over 750 pages in books about the same profession, teams decide which profession.
Anybody have favorite professions they like to read about?
Athlete, Firefighter, Lawyer, Vet, Security, Teacher
Again, it will depend on how specific we need to be - would Law Enforcement Officer work? Athlete is always an easy one for me...
70. Each teammate reads a book that the teammate after them alphabetically has rated 5 stars. No pass for this task.
Chan, Courtney, Karen, Sarah.
Use the links in Task #64
71. Read 6 books with alliteration in the title or author's name.
72. Read over 1000 pages in books that are MPG Romance.
73. Read 6 books published in the year one of the teammates joined RRRC, teams decide which teammate.
How do we know when we joined RRRC? Please add your year.
Chan - I think I joined in 2015.
Courtney - 2018
The only way I know of to find out when anyone joined RRRC (as opposed to when you joined GR, which is on your profile) is to search the group's member list. I went ahead and looked us all up:
Chan - 2016
Courtney - 2019
Karen - 2011
Sarah - 2015
I'm not good at thinking up tropes, but I'm sure I'll be fine with anything that anyone else comes up with!

18. Harry Potter is children's? Really? I only watched the first movie because it scared me lol. I thought the books were YA fantasy. Well, now that you mention Harry Potter, books like The Hobbit, Narnia, Little Women, Where the Sidewalk Ends, The Secret Garden, etc. should work.
21. Agreed! For this task, each of us will provide a list of at least 3 books we would recommend to our teammates
56. That cracked me up. out of all the times you need a universal color, this MnG you have purple and orange. lol
57. Update: Ohio, Georgia, Washington State, Toronto Ontario
60. The setting will be Mountains
62. Birth Months: September, November, April
Sarah?
63. Good idea. I checked my MnG list too
Karen's Letters: C, D, S possibly more
Chan's Letters: A, B, D, F, G, H, K, M, P, S, T, U, W
65. The setting will be the UK
73. Thanks, Karen! Years we joined RRRC:
Chan - 2016
Courtney - 2019
Karen - 2011
Sarah - 2015

9. I think Shifter books would be the easiest. What do you guys think?
18. I don't think it needs to be a children's book, just tagged 'children'. So like Worth the Fall would work because it's tagged 'children' on the first page by 15 people.
22. Usually the bodice rippers of the 80s and 90s were translated into lots of languages, pretty much everything by Johanna Lindsey would work.
25. Jaci Burton's Play by Play would work well here because there are so many.
51. We could just pick from one of these lists :
January 2020 Most-Anticipated Romances
February 2020 Most-Anticipated Romances
61. Helena Hunting or Sawyer Bennett?

But the same goes for me. If a theme is called and I'm not around don't wait on me to make decision, I'll find a book to read to fit whatever is decided :o)
Busy weekend, we've been packing to move.... here is the list with my ideas, sorry if some of this is duplicated...
Also turning on notifications, so I don't miss anything!
I was also going to suggest Jill Shalvis, or Christina Lauren
I'm not big on SiFi/Paranormal or Fantasty... I much prefer Contemporary or Historical, also Romantic Suspense
15. Read 4 books by authors' who write under more than one name (Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb).
J/K Rowling, Anne Rice, Agatha Christie
More options: Shelly Laurenston, Lorraine Heath, Sawyer Bennett, Alexandra Ivy, Marie Force, Jennifer Ashley, Carly Phillips, Sabrina Jeffries, Katie MacAlister, Laura Kaye, Elizabeth Hoyt.
Also Heather Graham (her older historicals are under the name Shannon Drake), Jayne Anne Krantz, Eloisa James/Mary Bly
21. Read a book recommended to you by a teammate - no pass for this task.
Should we pick who recommends to who? Could we all post a list of 3 or 4 books that we would recommend, then we pick from those lists?

Yes, this one might be hard. I'm guessing something fairly recent will be the easiest, but not sure..
I would say pick 2020 or 2019...
I'm in Toronto and if need be I have a list of books set in and around Southern Ontario that may be helpful
59. Read 4 books published in the decade of a teammate's birth, team decides which teammate.
We have 60’s, 70’s, 80’s. Sarah can you add your decade?
Let's just keep our fingers crossed that we manage to avoid this one!
I'm also the 70's :)
60. Read 6 books set on a beach or in the mountains, teams decide which.
Courtney and I vote for Mountains
Mountains works for me, too
Another vote for mountains
62. Read 6 books published in a teammates' birth month, you may not use your own month.
Please add your month: September, November
I'm April
I'm March
65. Read 6 books set in the same country outside the US, teams decide country.

I can't think of any specific items that might be particularly easy, especially since we don't know how specific we need to be. Would jewelry work, or would it need to be as specific as a ring or necklace?
Maybe I'm being to simplistic, but what about trees or an animal, like dog?
Athletes or military work for me
75. Read 6 books that have the same romance trope, teams decide which trope.

Amnesia trope... I just read 2 books with this and its fresh in my mind lol

Here’s a few, feel free to add: Friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, fake relationship, Second chance, forbidden love, love triangle, millionaire/billionaire, Secret baby, Fated mates, Amnesia

Will Not Read: Inspirational, Horror, Thriller, Young Adult, Suspense, Paranormal, Fantasy
Let’s Pick from these: Contemporary, Shifter, Historical
I'm fine with any of those, however since Sarah's not a big paranormal fan, why don't we drop the Shifter option - then we're down to only 2 options (and 2 easy ones, at that).

I'll edit the post above.
For task 63. Read over 1000 pages in books that start with the same letter (no articles), teams decide letter.
I'm easy with any letter that is chosen, I will find something that fits :)

We have 3 tasks that require us to all read the same author. Chances are slim that we will get even 2 of them (might not get any), so if we narrow it down to a favorite and maybe one alternate just in case, we should be good. Here's a list of the authors we have listed so far:
Sawyer Bennett
Sabrina Bowen
Linda Howard
Helena Hunting
Brenda Jackson
Vi Keeland
Elle Kennedy
Lisa Kleypas
Christina Lauren
Meghan March
RL Mathewson
Penny Reid
Aurora Rose Reynolds
Nora Roberts
Kylie Scott
Jill Shalvis
Susan Stoker
Anne Stuart
Penelope Ward
Samantha Young
Rebecca Zanetti
Mariana Zapata
I'm fine with anyone on this list...really my only requirement is that they have books available in audio since it takes me forever to get through a book if I'm actually reading it. But, since the point here is to narrow it down, this would be my short(er) list:
Sawyer Bennett
Sabrina Bowen
Vi Keeland
Nora Roberts
Kylie Scott
Penelope Ward
Rebecca Zanetti
Mariana Zapata
Here is my list from the main list, I'm like you Karen, I prefer audio.
