I read this about 2-3 years ago, and I think it was written quite recently, around late 2010s, maybe 2017 ish. Pretty sure it's part 1 of a trilogy, there's definitely some kind of Egyptian theme to it and there's a reincarnation theme. The girl has got symbols (maybe yin/yang symbols, can't remember) on the palms of her hands.
