Lori Z | 2089 comments I was just wondering if anybody else was feverishly reading to wrap up challenges before the end of the year? I decided I really want the Buzz Lightyear badge for the chunkster challenge, so I'm doing an emergency toppler and trying to read 12 books since the 20th. I've got 5 done and now that Christmas is over I'm very hopeful I'll be able to do it.
So anybody else out there being obsessed (or is it possessed) by a challenge?
Hope I'm not the only one! :)

Ann (ann7258) | 334 comments Yeah, I'm reading like crazy this week too, in the hopes of getting my Taz's Trouncers badge. I've got two books to go!! Good luck to you, Lori Z!!!

Lori Z | 2089 comments Thanks, Ann! It's a relief to know I'm not alone, haha. Good luck and happy reading!

Almeta (menfrommarrs) | 11460 comments I've been on a reading marathon as well.

My personal "To Infinity and Beyond" challenge requires only one more book. Glad to see people are still striving for the Chunkster Challenge goals. That is a fun challenge.

I just declared my "In A Land Far Far Away" challenge completed as of the 23rd of December, although I was hoping to "visit" more than 25 countries.

Just finished my 2014 GoodReads Challenge today, at 203 books for the year.

I also have a by-the-year type challenge that is short by 21 books. That one is not going to be complete by year-end. But I am determined to get them finished before moving on, so trying to squeeze as many in as I can! Want to get to my Serial Killing occupation as soon as possible!☻

Wow! 200 books in a year! That is very impressive! I'd like to increase my reads in 2015...Any advice in how to do that Almeta? You're obviously a seasoned reader!

Sandra (sanlema) | 11266 comments Yes, it's impressive. Specially because many of them were chunksters!

jaxnsmom | 8341 comments Sorry, but I can't stop laughing ☺ I'm so far behind on so many things, and I haven't even calculated my chunkster combos and links. Hoping to get that done this weekend.

Tejas Janet (tejasjanet) | 3513 comments Okay, so breathe in, breathe out. Every day is a new beginning. You can let go of the old, and move on to the new. It's okay! You have permission.

Congratulations on a great year of reading Almeta!

Rusalka (rusalkii) | 19206 comments I'm cheering you all on. If I was at home I'd be doing the same thing but not going to happen on hols.

We've just gotten into Hobart and escaped the in laws down to a pub in Salamanca place. Catching up on the wifi and thinking about all my failed reading challenges.

Kristie | 19175 comments I don't even know how many challenges I'm behind on (or failing!) right now. I haven't had a chance to update with my reading from November and December. I'm hoping to do so tomorrow.

The only challenge I am trying to get completed, that I have updated, is my A-Z challenge. As soon as I finish Jurassic Park, I'm done! So, I'm good with that. However, I have very little reading time over the next week and I don't have access to the audio to listen to on my work commute, so it's going to be close!

Mariab | 3059 comments I was complaining precisely of that last week. And I dont speak of year challenge, but poor, short, small month's challenge

message 13: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59930 comments I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself. I have finished all the challenges I set for myself except the ebook challenges. I just need one more ebook, and if I finish the one I'm currently reading, I will finish that challenge too.

No leftover stew challenge next year! Wooot!

message 14: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie I didn't join many challenges till close to the end of the year (my first one was the Toppler in October). I can't wait for the new year and all the challenges that await me within this group! I just hope I make sure to not overload myself, lol!

Lol, Stephanie! It's easy to do with all the great challenges with this group. I have to say, though, that between the challenges, topplers and monthly reads I've knocked quite a few off my tbr pile this year. (We just won't mention all I've added to the pile, hehe)
