If we go anywhere does that mean death is only metaphorical in terms of leaving one place for another?

i.e. My time in Barbados is dead, now I go to Mexico!

So that could link with our parallel universes. After death our atoms scatter to be reborn in another universe, interesting theory. Why do you think it?
