Andi (andibloom) | 17 comments I am interpreting this as high school age and not actually, physically, in a high school.

I just finished "Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets to the Universe" by Benjamin Alire Saenz.

I recommend it. In fact, I'm pretty sure I'm going to use another book by this author for a different category to see if I enjoy more of his books.

Naura (nauratheexplora) | 7 comments Andi, I would agree that the 'high school' book would be a general HS age book, or even a YA fiction and not necessary taking place in a physical high school.

Thanks for the recommendation on this topic; I'm going to look into that book.

However if someone wants to read physically in high school I recommend Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. I enjoyed it in high school, a little dark but has hints of humor and decently written.

Philippa Cathryn Bresler (philippacbresler) | 6 comments This is such a broad topic really as I was in high school in the nineties... (Frankly I have no recollection of any book I never read then) I'd say any sort of set work book that 1 hasn't read qualifies. Any suggestions? I'm thinking 1984, July's People by Nadine Gordimer or a Chinua Achebe...? I've also just picked up a copy of A tee grows in Brooklyn which may also qualify.

Tanya Roberts (tanyaro) | 6 comments Philippa, I interpreted this category as a book with high school age characters, or YA book. Not necessarily a book from when you were in high school. Hope that helps.

Becky Colosimo (beckyesq) I also thought this category was for books about characters who are in high school. I am planning to read The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
