Up for Reviews

I have a couple of books available for review. There's Exile a non-epic fantasy adventure that was nominated for the British Fantasy Society Best Newcomer Award in 2017 and there's Shadows of Faerie, a contemporary fantasy set in southern England. Let me know if either of these sound interesting. There is no timeline for reviewing these.

Hello Lina. Would a non-fiction book called Real Faith & Reason be of interest to you? In a nutshell, it's about three topics:
Absolutely certain proof of the Bible and the God of the Bible
How you can know the TRUTH and be set free
and
The intersection of faith, reason, truth, and sanity.
If interested, here's a PDF.

If you prefer mobi or ePub, I have those. No need to buy on Amazon.

He’s the boy who wants to disappear.
One mistake & seventeen-year-old Shake LeCasse lost everything. Now there’s no going back and no way to move forward. The once-popular hockey captain is living in the basement of a grandmother he barely knows, ditching school, avoiding friends & working hard on self-destruction.
She’s the girl nobody sees.
Cleo Lee survives however she can. Lie, cheat, steal, & saving Mr. Popular isn’t part of the plan. Telling him the truth about the night that destroyed his life is downright dangerous. She needs to keep quiet, be smart and let the guy she’s been half in love with since middle school throw away a future she’d do anything to have. Too bad her heat can’t resist, no matter the cost.

I have recently published a series named The amazing flying belt. The first book is "Paul's treasure island". - (It appears on Goodreads)

The FBI recruits a music therapist as an undercover agent to investigate a brutal murder case. . .
Dafna Armstrong is a 30-year-old, single music therapist who is dedicated to providing music therapy sessions to her hospice patients. On a whim, she attends an FBI recruiting session led by Agent Cobain. In a surprising move, Dafna joins the investigation team just to get closer to Agent Cobain, even though she remains in doubt about her skills as an undercover FBI agent.
AJ is their suspect. He is a famous rock star who became a criminal suspect when his past love interest disappeared. Although the FBI questioned him, no clear evidence was found connecting him to his lover’s disappearance. As soon as AJ was no longer considered a suspect, he fled to the Philippines, but years later he comes back to the USA to receive aggressive treatment for his recent cancer diagnosis. Upon his return, Agent Cobain sees an opportunity to re-open the case. To allow for a thorough investigation and aiming for a confession, the FBI manipulates AJ’s medical files. He is told that he has less than six months to live and is admitted to hospice care where he meets Dafna, the music therapist.
Now, who will be the first one to discover the loophole in the criminal case?
The book is currently for sale at Amazon https://amzn.to/2xo5GPi

Regarding your kind offer, I have a novel VICES/VIRTUES that has been well-reviewed by both KIRKUS and IndieReader.
https://www.amazon.com/Vices-Virtues-... Here is the description:
On the surface, VICES/VIRTUES it is about Cristela Davila, a bright young woman who works at a real estate office by day and moonlights at a professional S/M dungeon at night. However, the intertwining stories explore a wide range of topics. American poverty is placed at the forefront as Cristela, inheriting her mother's welfare shame, goes to great lengths to hide her own status as a welfare recipient from her college friends. Race is relative, as Justine, the daughter of a Kenyan heiress and Italian nobleman, is deemed as "white" by her Kenyan side of the family. Agency is shown as Daisy, a daughter of the Florida backwoods, devices a clever way to free herself from abuse. Exploring the interacting lives of this diverse group of women via a series of vignettes, VICES/VIRTUES highlights how very universal the seemingly unconventional can be.
Hope you're interested!

I have an ebook that has been blocked by both Amazon and Google, because it relates to the coronavirus pandemic. (It's on B&N and in some library distributors.) I've written 60+ books for major publishers, but that doesn't matter to Amazon and Google (Google even closed down my publishing account for having the temerity to submit a book about the pandemic!)
So I'm desperate for reviews, and it's really hard to get reviews without a Kindle version (I have epub and mobi files, of course).

Hi Lina, I am seeking reviews for my psychological crime short read
https://www.goodreads.com/book/photo/...

I'm Rahull, the director of Dawn Hill Publications! I am very interested in you reviewing Mark Ravine's debut thriller, The Tech.
Book Description:
Special Agent Alexandra Cassidy has made a career of disobeying orders, challenging
bigwigs, and asking uncomfortable questions. What offends her superiors most is that her intolerable antics have earned her one of the best track records in the FBI.
It’s too bad, some cases are better left unsolved.
When Cassidy is transferred to the backwaters of Arizona she finds herself leading a crew
with so many black marks on their records, it’s a miracle any of them remain employed.
Thankfully, their first case pretty much solves itself. But as Cassidy and her team continue
throwing bad guys behind bars, a creeping sense of suspicion grows. The cases are easy, a
little too easy, and troubling patterns become impossible to ignore.
Then things take a violent turn, and an elusive figure steps forward to help. But in a
conspiracy big enough to topple kings, every player has an agenda—and misplaced trust will have devastating consequences.
'The Tech' is available in ePub, Mobi and PDF. If you are interested in reading 'The Tech', please drop me an email at [email protected] with the subject line of 'Goodreads Book Review' and we can go from there!
I look forward to working with each and every one of you!
Kind regards,
Rahull

Hi Lina,
I'm a new Goodreads author and hope my debut, post-apocalyptic romantic YA, The Renascent World, will appeal to you.
Blurb:
Shortly before a meteorite strike killed almost everyone on Earth, Cassidy Jones’ family was among the ‘chosen’ who were whisked away. They spent the following thirteen years in Petriville, a Victorian-style town that hovered at the center of a sphere while moving through Earth’s orbit.
Now, Cassidy is sixteen, and Petriville is due to return to Earth when the hologram of Eric visits her.
He survived the meteorite strike in an Earth-based refuge, but Petriville’s founder holds no place for these people,.
She wants them killed and the stricken planet repopulated by only her chosen people!
I have ARCs in mobi, epub and pdf formats from the publisher.
Thank you and all my best,

From a Goodreads Reviewer:
This book was brilliant and captivating from beginning to end. I can't stop gushing about it!
My expectations were definitely exceeded.
The plot was interesting and the romance was adorable and very well structured.
I couldn't predict any of the plot twists which was very refreshing.
It's a perfect mix between passion, steaminess and heartwarming adorableness!

I'm interested in hearing your voice and perspective on my book.

Hi Lina,
If my below comedic memoir is of interest to you, I can send it to you in epub or mobi format. It's ~52k words. Ideally would like a review sometime in January but have flexibility. Thanks for your consideration!
"I'll Laugh About This Later" book description:
My name is not Zoey, but the rest of this story is pretty legit. I did grow up in Hawaii, and I do check the boxes "two or more races" and "millennial" on surveys. My journey includes a cast of close relations who are managing schizophrenia, OCD, hoarding, and sticking-head-in-sand. I have included an unhealthy dose of detail regarding my struggles sexing and relationshiping. I also share my struggles to try the make-the-world-a-better-place thing, despite my urge to sprint away from every mildly uncomfortable conversation. I've been lucky to find humor in most of my life. There may be bits of this story that bum you out. However, I'll only let that go on for a few pages before I say something awkward that you might laugh at. For example, if I tell you someone dies, I'll quickly follow up by telling you about the time a 12ish year old boy hit on me at a grocery store. (He may have mistaken my work backpack for middle school gear, or he may have just been a baller.) There's a splash of politics and COVID-19 pandemic fun in here too. I would describe this story as having a happy ending.

This is not perhaps your usual reading fare but if you'd be interested in reviewing my comic novel 'Sold Out' (written under the pen name of Matt Finish) I'd be delighted to send you a copy (pdf, Kindle, hard copy, as you prefer). Please contact me at [email protected] if interested. Hope to hear from you! here's a little bit of blurb: A farcical romp set in 1980's Britain, played out amidst the dingy corridors of the Regent Hall, Wetherington's self-appointed 'Home of Family Entertainment'. Joining the motley assortment of inept and inebriated staff is new boy Felix Dinmont. Despite falling prey to a succession of absurd scrapes and disasters, Felix battles valiantly to uncover a web of fraud, money laundering and drug running whilst striving desperately to retain the affections of the delectable Susan. Will Felix win through or succeed only in embroiling himself ever more deeply in the mire of corruption?

Hi Lina, please consider She Named Me Wolf. Here’s a recent review
Reviewed by Kathryn Bennett for Readers' Favorite
She Named Me Wolf by Tenkara Smart takes you into the life of a boy named Wolf. Wolf lives in fear with his alcoholic father. However, Wolf ends up being faced with the choice of a lifetime. His best friend Polly, who is a ghost, helps him choose to either stay in his current life or move on. What choice will Wolf make? Can he keep moving through this life based on the power of his imagination and past lives, or will he move on?
As a believer in past lives, I was really excited to read a coming-of-age story that had the twist of past lives being involved. She Named Me Wolf did not disappoint and is a fantastic read involving life and the soul's struggle to make it through the trials presented to us in each life. Abuse is a hard topic to tackle, but Tenkara Smart does a beautiful job of weaving the fabric of this story.
She Named Me Wolf by Tenkara Smart was a stunning read and I look forward to reading the next book in this series. I stayed engaged with this book and Wolf’s journey. Polly was a fun twist; I mean, how many people have a best friend that is a ghost? Most importantly, this story really is one of endurance and the strength that can be found within if you are willing to look for it. If you are a fan of YA novels and great storytelling, this book will be for you. It is beautifully told, emotional, and achingly beautiful.

An intense courtroom drama plays out when young Tommy Henderson takes the stand to provide crucial testimony in his teacher’s sexual assault trial. Nothing could adequately prepare the boy for Lester Mobey’s meticulous cross-examination. The wily and experienced defence attorney never left a stone unturned and committed everything to win his last trial before retirement. The consequence of the jury’s verdict has devastating and deadly implications for Tommy and his teacher as they both grapple with the aftermath of the emotionally charged courtroom clash.

Blurb: After living through the zombie apocalypse for two years at a military base in England; all Isabella wants is to go back to her normal life. No rotten zombies, no fear of the base being overrun. When a possible cure is tested on one of the zombies, it's Isabella's job to guard him.
As the days pass, Isabella begins to notice Murray changing. He starts smiling again. He lights up when she walks into the room, always asking to talk to her. He's becoming more and more human and Isabella finds herself falling for him. She must face the forces threatening their relationship and protect Murray from those who are against the cure and trying to kill him.

I have one available at: https://www.inkitt.com/stories/scifi/... and it is sort of science fiction genre, based on reality, as it deals with open contact. The pentagon released UFO videos and admissions from pentagon it is real, and STRONG evidence we are not alone, as no man-made craft can do the things these UFOs can do, portends something similar may happen soon.

Blurb- They raised the lid of the coffin and looked inside. The shroud of clouds that concealed the moon parted for a brief moment, allowing them to see what lay underneath, waiting impatiently for them.
The world that you think you know is in fact a giant asymmetrical cobweb, with each of its strands interlinking every single event to the others. Hidden in the dark corners of this web, lurking beneath its sullen shadows, is the obscured presence of a power that orchestrates all the worlds, weaving newer threads to drag its victims deeper into what remains of the primordial masterplan.
Can you foreshadow your future to evade the closing pincers of the forces that were in play even before the origin of life? Are you brave enough to venture inside and find out? Hi Lina!
I would be so honored if you read my novel A Mirror above the Abyss. Political thriller based on real and well-known tragic events and refuting the official versions. The intelligent action filled with facts and evidence appears to You. It proves that global events did not happen at all like it is generally understood.
So, Kennedy wasn't killed by Oswald, who had been framed in advance, but by a woman - a professional sniper who worked on an unusual order. The man who planned and carried out the September 11 attacks in New York was just one kilometer from crumbling skyscrapers. The assassination attempt on Pope John Paul was being prepared to hide billion bank scams, and the pontiff knew about it. These and other significant events of the last 60 years turn out to be interconnected, leaving the trail to a criminal syndicate ... from one person, and from him to the highest establishment and intelligence services of the United States and other countries.
I would appreciate a review.

Would you be interested in reviewing a YA/fantasy/historical novella? The length is 15,000 words and any time before the end of July would be good.
Synopsis:
Sixteen year old Xiu has never left her village and can barely make dumplings, yet she finds herself in a secret training academy on the slopes of the Jade Mountain. Put through rigorous training, Xiu must become a warrior, but she is so clumsy she struggles with martial arts while the other girls develop talents.
While Xiu flounders, Qiao seems to do everything with effortless grace. Xiu grows jealous until she is propelled to act in a way she will later regret.
When each of the six girls are given a title, Xiu is disappointed to receive the Red Panda.
Xiu doubts herself, yet her destiny has been carved into an oracle bone.
As the warlord she has been warned against prepares to invade the grand city Chang'An, Xiu and her elite corps must ride into battle. Xiu must overcome her jealousy and discover her unique strengths, or her enemy will bring the mighty Tang Dynasty to ruin.
A compelling story of friendship and courage in a lush historical setting with a splash of the speculative.

Malina

If you are still looking for books to review, please consider my new novel, The Alleys of Olde Architecture, Vol. I—A Key for Every Lock. This is a big, ambitious, mind-bending, dark fantasy saga, and not for the faint of heart.
When her father is arrested in the middle of the night and confesses to a crime that cannot possibly be true, fifteen-year-old Alley a'Door has one day to climb to the top of the mountain, free her father, and clear his name—but how do you save a man who is dead-set on orchestrating his own execution?
Skirting the line between YA and Adult, this is a character-driven saga with breakneck pace and gut-wrenching personal stakes, a Grimmly-gothic atmosphere brimming with eerie wonder and weird humor and the barest hints of magic you can never quite put your finger on.
I think you'll love it!
