Mystery/Thriller Reading Friends discussion

I last posted my books read for Feb-2020. there were 8 books.
Now three plus months later I have doubled that, but only by posting March, April, May and June together. Eek.
Here's hoping my reading will increase. I don't know if I will finish my current book in June - if I do, it will get posted with July's list.
Vacation ahead (stay-cation) so there is hope.

sooooo......we'll get another update in 2023?

I am hoping to start reading the Candice Fox Crimson Lake series soon! The summaries are very intriguing, and I bought my mother the first one so we can read it together. And I think you rec'd the Department Q series to me when I asked about non-US/UK thrillers and mysteries.

My partner adores the Paper Girls series. I struggle sometimes with graphic novels but he keeps trying to get me to read them. :)

Barry: maybe a bit sooner than that! ... fingers crossed. Lol
The news in these last three months has had me glued to podcasts rather than my usual audio books.

Kari: I love that you will buddy read with your mom! It's a very compelling series, and hope you enjoy it and the Dept Q books. This last one jumps right into some character dynamics, so if you are tempted to read out of order an earlier book would be better. Carol (Bonadie) or I could have recommended the series. Carol will tell you to start with the first book. Lol

Like you I struggle with reading graphic novels. I just find them hard to read, and blame my nearsightedness. On my iPad i finally found a sweet spot for easier text reading.

Some good reading there! The only one I read was Gone by Midnight, and I really liked it as well. Happy reading on your stay-cation....finding the bright spot in all our cancelled holiday plans :(

I find that unless I post my reads in the first day or two of the month, it becomes increasingly difficult to get it done. Should be like a Barry and sit up until 12:01AM on the 1st to post.

Sometimes I jump the gun and do 11:59 on the 31st. I do record the books as I read them though, so the post is always ready to go.

That's smart Barry! I did actually finish two more books in June so my early post was premature. Maybe I'll get back on track for posting mine on time (and have a few more) by the end of July.

The Truth Behind the Lie intrigues me, but my library didn't have it. I put it on the Recommend list, so hope they do get it soon.

That's cheating.
I also record books as I read them, but that doesn't always guarantee early posting. I guess I'm just not as disciplined as you nuclear types.
