I still need to try a book by Julia Spencer-Fleming. I think there is one hiding in my Kindle :)

Susie, I know exactly what you mean! We may both have picked up the same Julia Spencer-Fleming e-book on the same sale.

The kindle has gotten more manageable since they added the filters. Most of the time I just show "unread" and keep that to a few pages.

When you look at the book image in your library, there should be 3 vertical dots in the lower left. Clicking on that enables you to set a book as read or unread. If you finish a book, it will automatically toggle the book to read, and new books will show up as unread.

Thanks Barry! I hadn't noticed the filter option. On my phone Kindle app the "dots" are three lines with dots and they are at the upper left on the row with the "All or Downloaded" filter options. I was able to isolate just books, or Kindle Unlimited books or audible audio books so that is a great feature.

Merrilee, Lucas seemed to be operating much more on his own than is usual. Personally, I think the strength of the Prey books is the teamwork and interaction of the characters, so I didn’t like this one as much as usual.

I loved Raven Black and liked White Nights enough to buy Red Bones (Shetland Island book 3) which fell kind of flat for me.

Bonnie: I've been thinking of trying Ann Cleeves' Vera series. I didn't even get to books 2, White Knights yet of the Shetland Island books.

I think I read the first Vera (The Crow Trap) but apparently I either didn't finish it for some reason or didn't like it. I don't see it on my read shelf rated or on my tbr shelf either.
