Patricia Contic (patricia_contic) | 5 comments Hello, my name is Patricia and I am conducting research for my Final Research Paper in my Masters program. My research topic is on the Reader Response Theory, in which I am looking at how there are different interpretations within a book based on the reader. I am using the book Giver of the Stars as my book choice. If you have read the book, I would really appreciate it if you could help me in my research by answering a few questions that I have directed to my research. If you could message me on Goodreads, I will provide you with the questionnaire. It would be a huge help to me and I thank you in advance. Best - Patricia

Thank you for your suggestion, I will that as well. I added it to the discussion board of the bookclub because it was one of last year's book choice and was hoping some that had read it would respond.

Darcy Nickel | 3 comments I think this is a really fascinating topic. And part because when I I'm out of discussion for a book club there are times where I react completely different to book then others in the group and I find myself thinking did we actually read the same book. I think that we all bring different perspectives and perceptions so we can see things that others can't see within the context of the book and at times probably read between the lines in a way that it's definitely reflective of our own experiences.
