Katherine | 52 comments The movie Twelve Angry Men is one of my favorites and it was long overdue for me to read the play by Reginald Rose which it was based on. I’m not a big fan of reading plays for entertainment. I find the back and forth dialogue to be tricky to keep up with, but I thoroughly enjoyed this challenge. The play is about 12 jurors who are deliberating a murder trial in the jury room. Each juror is only listed by their juror number and they each bring their own personality, intelligence, and bias to the table. As their verdict swings back and forth, the play investigates prejudice, truth, peer pressure, and the U.S. Legal System. I would recommend this play to anyone, although I would advise watching the movie first.
