I'm doing some research. I have two books actively on the go and I will be self-publishing this way forward. I'm working to figure out which would have more readership interest as a debut book and would love readers' opinions on what you'd rather see.
1) NA contemporary romance. Character with autism and neighbor who is a bartender. Cute and educational piece that shows the stigma from her side and the challenges from his side. Slow burn. Dual POV.
2) NA paranormal dark romance. Vampire and girl descended from witches. Her ancestors cursed her bloodline so her blood turns vampires human. He wants her blood to sell to vampires wanting a cure. Dual POV
(I didn't think I would consider a vampire book as a debut, but I love dark romance, and I love vampire romance, but there isn't enough of the two together).
