I loved this Science Fiction book by Brandon Sanderson. The Rithmatists are chosen group of citizens that have a gift of turning chalk drawings of geometric shapes into attack creatures called chalklings or defenses that defend against the chalklings. There are battles, and a good mystery and other good plot twists that happen in this book.
