Ok so I finally settled on my first four books for the toppler as listed below:


Rick Blaine and Ilsa Lund (Casablanca) - Read a classic The Alchemist
Daniel Craig and Connie – Read a magical realism book Brown Girl in the Ring
Shrek and Fiona – Read a book with a royal character The Emperor's Soul
Royce or Hadrian and Janice – Read a nonfiction Teaching a Stone to Talk: Expeditions and Encounters

Can't decide on what other books from my TBR to use for the toppler so I'm going to finish these first then wing it from there. Anyways 10hrs to start of the toppler for me so I'm heading off to bed to catch my last decent sleep for the next several days. Best of luck to everyone!!! Cheers

The dog park mystery I am reading is just ok so far..hoping it gets better. Anne of green gables has been nice to listen to. So far I am remembering a lot from the movie :)

Hey guys, just to let you know I've been around and reading. Finished my first book and half way through my second book and noticed that Camilla has finished her first one too :)

It's coming up to 11pm here, so I'm gonna get myself to bed (maybe read a bit more) and will start updating the spreadsheet tomorrow morning (and hopefully have some more waiting for me) :)

Thank you Stephanie! It was a quick read and I managed to read all evening. Plus I completed the second serial killer level, so that's an additional bonus.

Checking in to catch up on how we are doing. I took a few hours off to go shopping with my daughter and grandkids and have a late lunch. We had fun.

Still plugging along in my first read, but it looks like there have been some book finishers as well as serial killing today! Great work, team!

I've now finished my second book. So now off to our other thread to report and update the spreadsheet with everyone elses reporting too :)

Well into my 3rd book Rendezvous with Rama. Figured time to start looking for book 5. To mix things up I'll read a non fiction. Grandissimo: The First Emperor of Las Vegas. Probably start book #4 late today finish tomorrow then start #5.

I finished my first book, moving on to my second shortly. :-)

How was It's Just a Dog, Jessica? I have it downloaded onto my kindle since i was able to get it for free (I had a credit I didn't know about).

I just finished my first book and am going to finish one of my series books tonight before I tackle my second toppler book. It is killing me to wait to see what is going to happen. I just couldn't finish it before the toppler started.

I've finished my second and last assigned task, Hobbies: crafts Glimmer of Hope.

According to the spreadsheet no one has claimed the famous couple, Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett. I'm going to read Moonlight Wish for that task.

I finished my second book! Yay! But I've got to say it was not very enjoyable. Not really what I thought I was picking up. About 30% in I wanted to put it down but figured I didn't have time to pick another one and get all my reading done so I finished it. I guess I took one for the team! ha ha. Anyway on to number 3!!!

I've completed my third book, Moonlight Wish. I'll probably read Love By Accident next. It is set in Canada (already filled) and is a romance (Famous couple - Samson and Delilah, which is not filled).

Hey all. Sorry about this but the book I had picked to read is not available from the library yet. I still have 11 hold ahead of me for the audio book and 17 hold ahead of me for the book. If someone else is still able to complete the Shoes category it might be wise for them to do it instead.

Hey Jennifer, thanks for letting us know. Don't worry about it too much, we have enough time for someone else to fill that category.

Have you read anything in the meantime since Saturday? You'll find that whatever you read, there's a least one category that you can find for the book :)

RE Shoe Category - I have some options but they weren't on my monthly tbr ..... so I can read one if needed but leaving it open for the moment in case someone else can fill it?

Bummer to hear about the book not being available yet :( I'm working on my 3rd and final book. I don't think I will take on another book after this one. Since Saturday is Valentines Day, I may not be around much that day:) depending on the weather, we may take the dog and go for a drive :)

I started my second book Lynn. I do not have a book on hand for shoes unless The Secret Diary of Alice in Wonderland, Age 42 and Three-Quarters this will do. I had this as a possible 3rd, but with a different cover for legs. It is a 10 hr audio book.
