Why would I think that. LOL! And thanks Tea. ;-)

Alex Willis (fightingokra) | 2 comments I just realized I used 'Salem's Lot for a quest that requires goblin bones. Apparently I don't read that good.

Seriously at least I have an extra book to use toward another quest!

Zuzana | 2568 comments Solving the coded instruction for Ser Amanda' s quest was really fun. Did you come up with the idea yourself, Amanda? Very clever.

Thank you. ☺
You know, your original quest wasn't written in English :P

Cait S | 2825 comments So many quests! I always feel SO overwhelmed when they get posted. And then five minutes later I'm just like ALRIGHT LETS DO THIS!

Thanks for the new update, mods <3

message 657: by Zuzana (new)

Zuzana | 2568 comments Tea, I esp enjoyed "Mluvis cesky?" Great idea and excellent execution. This is becoming easily my all-time favourite challenge.

Rebecca (rebeccasg) | 3793 comments Ahh new Quests?! I just started organizing the other ones. Man I need to run off and paw through my books! That dragon may need to wait....

message 659: by Cait S (new)

Cait S | 2825 comments I have a question about the Time For The Dead quest. You know how the month changes depending on the edition you read? It'll say Published April of 2012 (First published October of 2010). Should we be using the publishing month of the edition we read or the original date of the book in general?

message 660: by Reva (new)

Reva (revans) | 2481 comments Yes the code for Amanda was cute. Good idea

Since in all challenges we have here of that type, we go by first pub date, I'd say same here. Go with October 2010.

Teresa (teresab78) | 1658 comments No!!! That totally messed up my reading list :(

❀Tea❀ (ttea) | 9624 comments Kelly, how strict are we on science book (dr Cottage - treatment 3). I'm just going through the list and there are books like The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Live or The Hunger Games on it. :) (Not that I mind. I really like that they are there. At least I'll find something to read I really want to read. :P)

You'd have to finish part 3 on a Sunday. Then you couldn't attack til the following Sunday. No bribing would be able to be done during the week.

You can boast about rats killed since the beginning of the challenge. Note that there's still a reading requirement on that one as well.

And Tea's right for fresh rat being since the challenge started.

Heh. I didn't want to make the quests too hard to follow. We have trouble with interpretation of them when they're all in english.

Should be real science and not science fiction :P

A Briefer History of Time looks good... Its hard to randomly choose a science book!

message 679: by Alex (new)

Alex | 1018 comments Ok, I went booking again. I've now got my next 14 books planned out entirely around quests haha. It'll only take me the next 2 months or so to get through them.

That's where I started. Then Popular Science Books on the bottom and found Hunger Games. So can I read that? :P

Does it have to be nonfiction?
Most Crichton's books are also tagged as science. And they are quite scientific (at least those I've read)

Cait S | 2825 comments This one looks interesting for a Science book (might just be me though, but I figured I'd share)

Where the Wild Things Were Life, Death, and Ecological Wreckage in a Land of Vanishing Predators by William Stolzenburg

Cait S | 2825 comments I do the SRC and so I plan all my books around that and then FORCE THEM ALL TO FIT QUESTS. Like those kids toys with the shapes, trying to fit the circle inside the square.

Me too! Luckily I have finished this season's SRC early, so I've been trying to do quick reads that get me level-upped staff as well as the quests. Kill! Kill!

Find Items Potion are used for things where you have to collect X number of goblin bones or X number of berries. Not for ones where it's different steps for each item.

If they're part of a collection then you can count them if the whole collection is over 100 pages. (Only one book per collection though.)

I will give you Crichton books though since those tend to be based in real science.

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments I've updated the Find Items Potion to note that it can't be used for lists of tasks of different things. We've had that question before so it's obviously not clear. :)

Must work hard for your awesome horsie.
