Hi, I like steamy not erotic historical romance too. Have you tried Stacy Reid, Grace Callaway, or Scarlett Scott? I think they would fit in that category. I am reading Amy Sandas right now, it is good and steamy too, plus a good story. Hope that helps!

Some of Lisa Kleypas books are also on the steamy side. I recently reread Mine Till Midnight and I had forgotten how many sex scenes there were LOL. (Almost too many for me!)
Madeline Hunter's Rothwell brothers series, maybe? They were a good read, and from memory had some steam.

The Byrons of Braebourne and the spin-off series of the other three Byron siblings, The Rakes of Cavendish Square.

I find that Sylvia Day and Caroline Linden both write satisfying sex scenes for me.
I recently read a couple of books by Anne Stuart - Reckless and Breathless. They were very steamy with good stories. However if you after books with lots of descriptive sex then these may not fit the bill (the second one has more sex scenes than the first). These have been my favorite reads of the past month or so.

Agreed - enjoy! :)
Have you explored what is often categorized as Historical Erotica Romance - like Kate Pearce or Jess Michaels?
Julie Anne Long is another that writes some great scenes in my opinion.

I really enjoyed the series and enjoy this author's books and each book seemed to improve on previous.
Another favourite author is Annabelle Anders, and

I second Elizabeth Hoyt's books.

I have to agree with you Lauren on Kerrigan Byrne and Elizabeth Hoyt books.

Also, a more recent HR that was really steamy (if I had read it in hard-copy rather than eBook, it would have burnt my hands!) is Midnight's Wild Passion by Anna Campbell.

Hi Andrea, would you please be so kind as to name a few titles from Beatrice Small?
:)

There are more than 30 listed on Kindle on Amazon. 4 pages worth!

I have to agree with Andrea AKA Catsos.. Beatrice older books are a bit steamier than current.

I like Anna Campbell as an author but have not read this one. Going to check it out now. BTW..Bertrice Smalls older books were steamy and enjoyed

Thank you

Thank you"
I am not a Bertrice Smalls fan as I don't enjoy most bodice rippers, but I did enjoy Francesca. It does have descriptive sex scenes, but it wasn't particularly steamy to me. This was one of her later works (maybe even her last?). If I remember correctly, Francesca is 14; and her lover/betrothed/husband was double that, 28-30. It is set in medieval Italy and the setting felt historically accurate. Unusual for HR, it is a tragedy.
