which was the exact right kind of light, fun read I needed to get me through a stressful week.
I also listen to

which ends on a big time cliff-hanger. I've been following the series, so I guess I can stand to wait.

For next year, I want to read at least 50 books including Lord of the Rings, which I've never read before.

Also reading Gideon the Ninth and The Humans for another group.

Shadowshaper I listened to this and it was fun.
The Farthest Shore Reread for me, read aloud to my son.
MG read in 2020:
Roller Girl This didn't start great but it did end great.
A Wrinkle in Time This was a reread for me, which I read aloud with my son.
It's Not the End of the World read aloud with my son
The Westing Game read aloud with my son
Christmas Night 1776 This was ok
Space Boy This was a diverting listen while we were driving to Italy.
The White Mountains I loved this when I was a kid, but my son did not engage with the audiobook.
A Stitch in Time read aloud with my son. I loved it.
The Mysterious Visitor read aloud with my son. Another fave from my own childhood.
Diary of a Sixth Grade Ninja audiobook with my son
I see I've skewed massively toward MG this year. And most were read together with my son. He's 11, so not quite ready for YA, but soon, because he's a smart boy, just not emotionally ready.
