Carolyn | 9840 comments This is a really good collection of short stories featuring mysteries with a bookish theme. The audiobook made for good listening while cooking and cleaning for Christmas.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments The 44 Scotland Street series is probably my favourite Alexander McCall Smith series, so I very much looked forward to A Promise of Ankles, and I certainly wasn't disappointed.

PattyMacDotComma | 3299 comments A Clash of Spheres by P.F. Chisholm is the eighth in this favourite historical mystery series where the dashing Sir Robert Carey is always close to being assassinated! Scotland, 1592.

Deb Omnivorous Reader | 1929 comments I just finished Poster Boy A Memoir of Art and Politics by Peter Drew by Peter Drew which was a really interesting memoir addressing the posters that I am sure every Aussie knows.

Well worth reading, pretty easy to read and I suspect it would be a good challenge book for a lot of people, it has political commentary, art, activism and memoir all crammed into one.

PattyMacDotComma | 3299 comments Nobody Walks by one of my favourite authors, Mick Herron, has nothing to do with driving kids to school these days. : )
Always suspenseful!

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments Listening to David Rintoul narrating the latest instalment of my favourite Alexander McCall Smith series, A Promise of Ankles is an unalloyed pleasure, and as a bonus, I get to find out how some of those Gaelic names are pronounced.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments Rupert Degas really is the perfect voice for Sulari Gentill's Rowland Sinclair series, and #6 A Murder Unmentioned is just as enjoyable, entertaining and educational as the first five.
