Blind Date With a Book: Pick Your Prompt (Feb-Mar)

...honestly I don't track of participants as closely with this one.
There is no target number of prompts to choose or books to read. Read one, read 12 (that's a lot of prompts tho), DNF and request again, I don't care—the point with this game is to have fun and read some books :)

There are definitely some added elements that will be...a delight *evil laugh*

Pick a Time - 4: The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood (finished 02.09.21)
Choose a Venue - 4: The Souls of Black Folk by by W.E.B. Du Bois

Hi! A prompt is a suggestion/task, like "read a book written by a woman" or "read a book with a lost princess." In this game, you choose the category (and number), I give you a task, and you try to find a book that means that task!

You may now start requesting dates!
Remember to list category and a number between 1-5.
Starting tomorrow (1 Feb my time) I will begin to fulfill the requests and you can start hunting for love <3
Requests will be fulfilled in update posts similar to this one. The participants post is just to vaguely track who has joined in.

In case you're wondering, The True Blind Date category was inspired by the Match.com 2020 commercial. Ya know, in case you want to change your prompt or anything.

The chaos option sounds like fun 😆

When you choose a category and number between 1-5, you are picking from a list of prompts. But you won't know the prompt until you choose one, thus introducing the blind dating element.

Are you having trouble finding your next read? Want someone to take that choice off your shoulders?
Look no further, the book-matchmaker is here!
This time around, we're doing things a little differently (again). Instead of me giving you a book, I will give you a prompt and you get to choose the book that fits the prompt.
Here's how it works:
1. Review the categories
2. Pick a category and a number from 1-5. For example, “Find Your Date 1”
3. You get your prompt
4. Report back on how it went
5. Go on another!
Remember: don’t forget the numbers along with the category!
We all know that blind dates are a crapshoot. They either go kinda okay, horribly or the person ghosts you (hint hint). If you find yourself in the latter situation (or your date is a no-show/you can’t acquire the book), let me know, pick another (step 2) and go on another blind date.
Also, since this is an open thread, it’s going to be fairly easy to game the system and get a preview of what the other prompts are based on previous requests (the categories are themed). It’s okay if you do game the game, but there are 30 possibilities! Surprise yourself!
The Dates!
Find Your Date. Do like you them tall, short, sweet, or a little angsty?
Pick a Time. Are you a morning, afternoon or evening dater?
Choose a Venue. Every date has to take place somewhere.
What're You Wearing? Wear something to knock 'em dead. Literally.
What Goes Wrong? It's a blind date! It might not end well, but you'll have a great story.
The True Blind Date. There is no theme. Only chaos.
You right now:
This challenge runs from February 1 to March 31st
To have a little more fun, we're going to be having an optional chatroom on DISCORD to discuss what fun dates you're going on.
