Faye Grave Magic Bounty (Forty Proof, #1) by Shannon Mayer Grave Magic Bounty by Shannon Mayer. I loved this book. A friend recommended it. She got it cheap on her kindle. I was able to get it for free on Audible. I listen to books when I walk. It’s considered a “divorce” cozy. The over 40 woman trying to get her life together after a messy divorce only this has a supernatural twist. Highly recommend this book.

A Catered New Year's Eve by Isis Crawford A Catered New Year by Isis Crawford. I was not impressed with this book. It was okay but I felt it was somewhat scattered I can’t really come up with a better way to describe it. I had read the first book in this series several years ago. This book might have made more sense had I read the books in between. I read this for my book club.

Faye In Dog We Trust (Golden Retriever Mystery #1) by Neil S. Plakcy I enjoyed this book. I love animals especially dogs so when I find a story where a dog or any animal plays a vital role I pick it up to read. This one is especially good because it starts out with a man, who is not a dog person, ending up with a dog when the owner is murdered. The murdered person is Steve's next door neighbor. He and Rochester have had several encounters before the neighbor's murder and they are less then pleasant for Steve. Steve also has other issues to deal with beside inheriting Rochester. He is recently divorced and a convicted felon trying not to go back to prison in CA. His crime was computer hacking. He was the closest thing to an eye witness in his neighbors murder making him feel the need to help the police find her killer for Rochester of course. Rochester turns out to be a pretty smart dog and good at finding clues. So between the 2 of them they find a love for each other and help find who killed Rochester's mom.

It sounds like a good mystery. I like dogs too. Especially collies.

Gretchen | 38 comments I have not heard of this series. I like stories involving dogs too.

Faye Dog on It (A Chet and Bernie Mystery, #1) by Spencer Quinn

I enjoyed this book. This time the dog is the narrator. I found it to be a very lite and entertaining read. I was hooked from the moment I started reading. i actually had to force myself to put the book down so I could try and finish a book that I was suppose to read for book club. After the book club meeting, it didn't take me long to finish this book.

Faye Murder in the Manor (A Lacey Doyle Cozy Mystery #1) by Fiona Grace

i enjoyed this book. I listened to it while I was walking or driving. Easy, interesting read that kind of kept me guessing.

Faye A Shot in the Bark A Dog Park Mystery by C.A. Newsome

I have said it before and I'll say it again. I love dog stories. This really isn't about the dogs as much as it it their owners and how they interact around the mystery at the dog park but the dogs are still there. lol I enjoyed this read.

Faye Marjorie's Cozy Kitten Cafe - Books 1-3

I don't know if this counts as 1 or 3 since it actually is a 3 book bundle. I enjoyed the books because they were easy and light. If you like kittens you will like these.

Faye Spirits, Stilettos and a Silver Bustier (Pyper Rayne, #1) by Deanna Chase

This was just a funny interesting book. If you like ghost and other super natural things this is a good book and I'm guessing a good series to read for fun. I plan on reading more.

Faye Live and Let Diet (Australian Amateur Sleuth #1) by Morgana Best

Im adding this book back. I accidentally deleted it while trying to delete a book that is not a cozy.

Faye One O'Clock Hustle by Joanne Pence

This is considered a cozy by chirp.com but not by audible so since I downloaded it off of chirp that is what I went with. I did delete 2 books after looking in several places and none of them saying they were cozy mysteries. This should complete my level of the challenge if you count the Marjorie's Cozy Kitten Cafe bundle as 3 books. I will continue to the next level of the challenge.

Faye A Villa in Sicily Olive Oil and Murder (A Cats and Dogs Cozy Mystery #1) by Fiona Grace

I listened to this while I was mowing my property. Not a bad listen.

Murder at Pirate's Cove (Secrets and Scrabble, #1) by Josh Lanyon

This was a book in parts from Barnes and Nobel, that I read on my Nook. It was pretty good. It shouldn't have taken me as long as it did to figure out who did it but I was more caught up in the trying to decide if the Sheriff was or was not... leaving that there for ya'll to figure out.

Faye Midlife Fairy Hunter (Forty Proof, #2) by Shannon Mayer

This series just gets better. It is just a fun easy "read" listen. I laugh out loud. I like the characters. I highly recommend especially to any woman over 40.

Faye A Killer Cupcake (Beachfront Bakery #1) by Fiona Grace

Im starting to enjoy Fiona Grace cozies just because they are easy reads and usually have a pretty decent mystery to solve.

Faye BBQ, Bikers, and Murder by Summer Prescott

I liked this book. It is an easy read. I was not crazy about the ending because it left somethings unfinished. I'm hoping that if I get the next book it will tie up loose ends.

Faye Here Today, Gone Tamale (A Taste of Texas Mystery #1) by Rebecca Adler

This is a decent book. I had trouble getting into it but it was okay.

message 19: by Faye (new)

Faye Baby Back Murder (Hawg Heaven Cozy Culinary Mystery #2) by Summer Prescott

These little cozies are short easy reads. I like them.

Faye The Cat Who Went Bump in the Night & Other Mysteries (Eli Carter & The Ghost Hackers #1-3) by Angela Pepper

Not what i expected. I wanted something more like Ghostbusters. It had some elements that were like the movie but not as close as I wanted. The books did make the time while driving seem to go a little faster. We listened to them on the way to Oklahoma City for the Labor Day weekend. 3 stars

Faye Bearly Departed (Shamelessly Adorable Teddy Bear Mystery, #1) by Meg Macy

This is the 2nd time I have read this book. The first time I chose it because it had a cute bear on the front. That was 2 years ago. This time my book club read it as a tie in with Labor Day. I'm still not sure how much of a tie in it was other then all of the action takes place over the Labor Day holiday weekend. I have liked this book both times I have read it. Its an easy read. Its easier when you aren't scrutinizing it for a book club discussion because you don't see all the little things that might bother you like a lot of characters thrown at you at once, or the fact that she seems to walk all over town with her dog. Overall I have enjoyed this book both times I have read it. This time even inspired me to find the next book in the series at the library.

Faye Midlife Fairy Hunter (Forty Proof, #2) by Shannon Mayer Midlife Ghost Hunter (Forty Proof, #4) by Shannon Mayer Midlife Zombie Hunter (Forty Proof, #5) by Shannon Mayer

I love this series and am anxiously awaiting the next book. I highly recommend to any woman over the age of 40 because how Bre feels is a spot on even if her circumstances are not ones you would find yourself in.

Faye Bear Witness to Murder (Shamelessly Adorable Teddy Bear Mystery, #2) by Meg Macy

The second in the teddy bear mystery series, this is a fun easy read. I find the way the community of Silver Hollow celebrates their holidays with something bear themed as very interesting and fun.

Better Off Read (Bookmobile Mystery, #1) by Nora Page

If you like books about libraries, books or both this is a nice little cozy series. I like the main character and her friends. They are quit a hoot.

message 24: by Faye (new)

Faye Read on Arrival (Bookmobile Mystery, #2) by Nora Page

The second in this series. Its just as entertaining as the first book.

message 25: by Faye (new)

Faye Read or Alive (Bookmobile Mystery, #3) by Nora Page

The third book in this quirky fun series. Fun read with southern charm.

message 26: by Faye (new)

Faye Girl in the Shadows (Diamond Files Mystery, #1) by Angela Pepper

This is not a bad book. It was easy to listen to and had an okay plot. I liked the beagle in the story. If you can't find anything else to read I would say pick this up just to get outside of your own head so to speak.

message 27: by Faye (new)

Faye Secrets of the Greek Revival (Mystery House #1) by Eva Pohler

Interesting book.

On the Rocks (Ruby Steele Cozy Mystery, #1) by Mia Gold

This was an okay read. The author talks about the main characters background but I think she could have been more concise. I think that was what made me only give it a 3 rating.

Faye Aged for Murder (A Tuscan Vineyard Cozy Mystery #1) by Fiona Grace

This was a decent read. My issue was it took to long to get to the murder mystery. I felt like I was reading a romance for the first fifteen to sixteen chapters. I don't know if I will read more in the series or not.
