Gems (zadien) | 134 comments Dark Lover is first on that list for a reason, lol. Then read Halfway to the Grave - however... I think Witch Fury, being the weaker of the reads, might be better to read first and then you kind of improve with the other two books and that'll leave you feeling satisfied rather than reading Witch's Fury after Dark Lover and feeing...lack lustre.

FlibBityFLooB Halfway to the grave ;)

I just love to be different! hehe

Shadi ***save your ratings use disclaimers** (shadi71) Halfway to the grave, all time favorite series right now.

Susan (Suz) (sharney) | 253 comments Yeah for me it's a toss up between Dark Lover and Halfway to the Grave, both are GREAT series.... I have not heard of Witch Fury tho.....

I ♥ Bookie Nookie (bookienookiereviews.blogspot.com) (ibookienookie) #1 AND 2 are the first books in 2 of my favorite series, but it looks like Dark Lover is the fave amongst this group. Its a great choice.

message 16: by Desiree (last edited Oct 01, 2009 11:06PM) (new)

Desiree Definately Halfway to the grave -an awesome series and all 4 books are out!! Black Dagger is a good series, but VERY different. Each book is focused on a different couple each book, Id much rather read about Bones and Cat in Night Huntress! ;)

Blue Eyed Vixen | 18 comments I've read both Halfway to the Grave [image error] & Dark Lover Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #1) by J.R. Ward - you can't go wrong with either.
Witch Fury Witch Fury (Elemental Witches, Book 4) by Anya Bast is actually the 4th in the Elemental Witches series - some series can be easily picked up as independant reads - I'm not familiar with this series myself but easily found the free ebooks in a google search if you needed the other 3 email me.

This is a hard one. They are two very different kinds of para. One is a girl power kick but first person, Cat and Bones. The other is guy( hotty) hooking up with soul mate. The are both really good stuff.

Leslie (funlovinlady) | 138 comments Half way to the Grave! I love Bones....
Dark Lover was a good book. But for some reason, Dog, The Bounty Hunter (with black hair) keeps popping up in my mind as Wrath....

Please make it STOP!!!!!!!!

Not to sound like a child but EWWWWWWW! When I picture Wrath I see Hugh Jackman with long hair. I actually found a picture of him with longer hair and dark sunglasses on and WOW, he is so my Wrath.

I suggest Dark Lover mainly because it is my fav series but Halfway to the Grave is wonderful too. Bones makes the series

message 33: by Shay (new)

Shay | 98 comments I truly envy you.
Meeting the BDB and Bones for the first time...
*deep sigh*

:)

message 34: by Kasey (new)

Kasey | 70 comments I just started both these series this month and finished the Night Huntress Series. I love both, but book 1 isn't my fav in the Night Huntress Series. Although it was still good enough for me to read in a day. I'm on book 4 in BDB and I'm loving them too.

LOL Shay everyone constantly talking about Bones on here made me move it to the top of my TBR list. He is now one of my fav leading men. But it leaves me very impatiently waiting on the next book.

My daughter said she loves Bones, but she said something happened between them in the last book Destined for an Early Grave that lost her... she said she must have missed something. Any ideas so I can fill her in?

***Spoilers***

hmmm. There was the whole Bones and Cat splitting up and thinking each other was sleeping with someone else. It got a little confusing with trying to straighten that whole thing out. Plus Cat had already married someone when she was younger around 16, but the memory was taken from her so she didn't know. But there was a lot of twists and turns in that book so I would have to know which part it was that lost her.

Ok, thanks! I haven't read the series..YET.. so I don't want to ask her too much. I'll just tell her to re-read it.

From everyone's raves, I plan to read it soon. Is it a good romance?

Thanks again!

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

UM - I really consider it to be urban fantasy. There is a romance between the hero and heroine, but it is definitely NOT the focus of the book. Plus all 4 books of the series so far are about the same couple. Also, I wouldn't necessarily say there's a HEA. That being said, I do love Cat and Bones as a couple, and Bones is super yummy.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Awesome, Jan! Thank you for the information!!! I really like there to be a romance. I'm following the Maker's Song series by Adrian Pheonix and while there is a romance, it's not what I could first and foremost call a romance series.
