Goodreads Authors/Readers discussion

My book The Allure of the Night Train by Pumpkin Spice ASIN B08WH7JK9J - I have two 5 Stars and one 4 star rating, but only the 2 Star rating is showing up in the totals.
Can you help please, so that all my ratings are counted?

I can certainly understand your concern. And does anyone know how or where we can contact Amazon to report something like this? ALSO---do not mean to steal your topic----But a friend read my book days ago, and gave a review at least four days ago and NOTHING shows from her on Amazon. This is really bothersome---as my book is new out and needs the reviews.

Would appreciate any help on both these questions.

Friends and family are expressly forbidden from leaving reviews, as stated in Amazon's review guidelines. Amazon can (and does) stop reviews going through where they detect a relationship between the author and the reviewer. If your friend persists in trying to review your book she can end up with all her review privileges being frozen.

I should have been more clear. I have never met this person live; she is an acquaintance on a large website I am on---she purchased the book and gave it a review. But I would not know her if I saw her on the street. I just advertised my book and she purchased. I have had several reviews from former co-workers and people who purchased my first book and they went right through. I still expect to see it and hopefully soon.

I have a similar problem. I have 6 reviews on .com, .ca and .de which don’t show on my local co.uk site - that only shows the one uk review. I contacted them via the feedback via author central and was informed that international reviews are only ‘spotlighted’ on local site (don’t count in total) and only until you have 5 local reviews. Well I would be happy with that (though that doesn’t seem true for other books) but that isn’t happening anyway. I am going to try again and see if I can get them to fully understand the problem!
