I adore this book. I listened to it as an audiobook. I read it in print and I listened to it again. I do not believe it is for everyone but as a minimalist I believe it struck a cord with me. I want my home to be the home to objects that I adore. Not objects I am waiting to use up or items that are there just existing. I believe kindness to our objects is a fantastic approach and something I attempt to add to my daily life. I find myself not plunging into the decluttering tidy method but instead involving this decision making process to my normal purge methods.
